#NewDelhi | Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), the largest City Gas Distribution Company of the country serving Delhi, National Capital Region (NCR), along with parts of UP, Haryana and Rajasthan has announced a series of safety initiatives to further strengthen station-level CNG refueling operations and ensure strict compliance with CNG cylinder hydrotesting requirements.
As part of this safety push, IGL has launched a pilot project across 10 CNG stations featuring an artificial intelligence-enabled automated vehicle recognition and hydrotest verification system. The technology utilizes station cameras to capture vehicle registration numbers, which are then processed through an AI application linked to the online PESO portal to verify the hydrotest status of the onboard CNG cylinder.

Entry and exit gates at around 57 Delhi Metro stations may be closed from 9 PM tonight (October 9) and remain closed on October 10 until further orders, in view of proposed protests and security concerns.
Train frequency may also be reduced at these stations. Commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly.
