Glad to share with you my last scientific publication! Thanks to everyone who supported it @CBIT_upv @CIBERBBN @CPInnovacion @UPV
A team at CBIT worked to fine tune poly(glycerol sebacate) synthesis to control cell interaction with ECM proteins. Collagen/fibronectin conformation and HUVECs culture provide insights on early cell adhesion to surfaces of this material. Paper now online: doi.org/10.3390/polym1303038…

"More than half of what we call ‘renewable energy’ actually comes from burning wood and crops." You can help put an end to this madness by signing this petition. The EU Commission is asking the public to give their opinion by 9 Feb. #StopFakeRenewables eubioenergy.com/2021/01/25/b…

(6) as moral questions re. animal welfare are never to the forefront of exploitative 'business' decisions.
(5) despite the hundreds of thousands of human lives lost. Surprisingly, humans didn't effectively ban such bizarre practices, despite these infectious diseases affecting their own. Usually, something has to affect humans before notice is taken
(4) the atypical mixture of animals from different continents at 'wet markets' (already harbouring endemic diseases), the callous 'husbandry', inhumane slaughter and consumption of 'bush meat'. Unfortunately, past epidemics like SARS, MERS and Ebola didn't teach us anything,
(3) These animals, taken from their native habitat are confined to a life of unnatural dwellings, resulting in acute stress and illness. This alone propagates the potential of infection to be spread to humans. However, we humans invite future epi and pandemics onboard through:
(2) Ebola detected in 1976, with an additional outbreak in 2014, was transmitted from bats and non-human primates to humans. Can you see a pattern? Covid-19 will not be the last pandemic to sweep the world, as long as people continue to exploit wild animals for their meat and fur
(1) A new strain of Covid-19 has been discovered in Danish mink. SARS-CoV, identified in 2003 originated from an animal reservoir; MERS-CoV discovered in 2012, can be traced back to bat and camel origins;

While media was reporting on "names of vegan hot dogs" the EU Parliament signed away €387bn to a new agricultural policy that basically means surrender on climate &environment. No awareness means no pressure and accountability so the outcome is no surprise. They just don't care.

As he seeks re-election, US President Donald Trump’s actions in the face of COVID-19 are just one example of the damage he has inflicted on science and its institutions over the past four years, with repercussions for lives and livelihoods. go.nature.com/36BYFcF
