In awarding the Peace Prize to Navi Pillay, the Nobel Committee rewards a record of legitimizing of demonizing Jews, Israelis and championing antizionism.   As chair of the UN Commission of Inquiry, Pillay drove the unsubstantiated "genocide" charge against Israel that has become a rallying cry for antisemites worldwide. She has previously accused Jews and Israel of having "ganged up" to distort the history of the Durban conference, defended a fellow COI commissioner's "Jewish lobby" remarks, and championed the Durban process that mainstreamed anti-Zionist antisemitism inside the UN. Learning of this award in Nuremberg and using the moment to double down on the genocide claim is a betrayal of "never again." The Nobel Committee has handed its most prestigious honor to someone who has repeatedly given cover to antisemitic narratives. That is not peace.
