It'd be interesting to see $BLAST holders vote on dapp and token gold allocations.
How it could work:
路 Lock $BLAST for $veBLAST
路 The longer you lock the more $veBLAST you receive
路 Vote for which protocols or tokens receive Gold (your voting power is based on your $veBLAST holdings)
路 Protocols bribe holders for votes with their own token incentives
路 Blast provides staking rewards to $veBLAST holders
$veBLAST would give $BLAST arguably more utility than any other L2 token.
Holders would be rewarded much more than farmers who sell their tokens.
Holders would also become advocates for their favorite dapps/coins to try to get them more votes.
There's a risk this new side economy won't allocate rewards effectively, have corruption or protocols won't like it. But, Blast could always monitor and step in.
Ultimately, rewarding holders and locking supply is a promising way to increase token demand.
The mobile app can also make this process user friendly too.

BULLISH AF for Blast early adopters. Feels a bit rekt for Blur farmers, but also they ate HEAVILY on S1/2 of Blur...so kinda makes sense
VESTING SCHEDULE:

Never - right? It's always about the money.

鉃★笍 Will be 17% of supply split three ways: 7% for Blast Points, 7% for Blast Gold, and 3% for ETH Blur stakers/farmers

Blast gold estimate: $7.71
Assumptions:
Total gold supply: 77,172,650 (all delivered + no more jackpots)
Blast FDV: $8.5bn
Percentage FDV given to gold: 7%
There are only two unknowns left:
1) Valuation of the token
2) Will there be any surprise gold drops or jackpots
70% of my followers expect a valuation below $8bn so this is clearly an out-of-consensus view.
