The day we got our hands on the pre-released version of GPT-4 in 2023 changed Spinach AI's trajectory. We went all in, pushed the limits of what's possible and accelerated our path to product market fit.
3+ years later, my co-founder Yoav Grossman keeps pushing the envelope, staying a few steps ahead of the market with how he uses AI - both in building our product and his personal use.
Check out episode #2 of The Spinach Smash.
If you didn't record the meeting it didn't happen.

Super excited to launch The Spinach Smash Podcast 🥬🥃
A new podcast focused on AI optimism, building products and companies in the age of AI, and sharing knowledge on trailblazing human-AI collaboration use cases.
I had a blast chatting with our awesome host, @ShawnRUU, to share the Spinach AI story and some trends we're seeing in the enterprise AI market.
Tune in to Episode 1 which just went live on YouTube and Spotify, links in the comments.
We have a great lineup of guests coming up so don't forget to like and subscribe!

dynamic workflows for codex/pi/copilot/cursor/hermes/claude-code/gemini, available today (and for months). orchestrate non-claude + local LLMs as subtasks, and even non-agentic atoms like npm test for real determinism. babysitter processes: github.com/a5c-ai/babysitter
🎯 Spot on, and savvy CEOs/CIOs are already setting up the infrastructure. Step 1 is record-by-default with @spinach_ai
My advice to founders in 2026: spend tokens, not headcount.
Record everything. Make your company queryable. Build self-improving loops.
Before long, AI won’t just help you operate your company. It will make it self improving.
Don't think AI adoption, think AI transformation.
This is the biggest shift in how startups get built since cloud computing.
Update: @amazon emailed my wife admitting that someone broke into her account after multiple customer service people we talked to denied it and said there was no activity
Just had the worst customer service experience of my life. My wife wants to access an account associated with her email address and it’s blocked. They won’t unblock it even though she has access to the code sent via email and they won’t release the email address so she can attach it to a new account. We spoke with a supervisor who said there’s nothing that can be done about it and hung up in my face!!
As an @amazon and @AWS business customer I’m shocked and deeply disappointed. Unreal…

Good day to @QuickBooks who decided to enable QB Payments on our account, received a payment from a customer of ours and then sent it back to the customer because we weren't approved for this payment method...
Today we mourn the death and celebrate the life of the most optimistic person I've ever met and likely ever will, my grandpa, Igal Talmi.
He passed at home in his sleep, 3 days after celebrating his 101 birthday and just 2 weeks after my grandma passed at 100, concluding a 77 year marriage.
A nuclear physics pioneer whose breakthroughs in nuclear shell theory hold strong till this day, and as important - a role model of knowledge, optimism and humility who inspired generations of fellow scientists, family and anyone lucky enough to cross his path.
Saba - you tought me that with curiosity, passion and hard work anything is possible. Even cracking the atom.
You will be greatly missed, though your inspiration lives on in our minds and hearts. RIP 💔

Coinbase CEO Explains “Reverse Prompting” and the Rise of the AI CEO
@brian_armstrong:
“One of the big pushes we made in the last year was we got our own internal hosted AI model that was connected to all of our data sources, right?”
“So it's like every Slack message, every Google doc, Salesforce data, Confluence, you know.”
“So now the data is all aggregated and I've started to ask it really… it's not just like prompting it, ‘Hey, can you write this kind of memo for me,’ or something.”
“I'm asking these AI agents now, ‘As CEO, what should I be aware of in the company that I might not be aware of?’ And it'll tell me, ‘Did you know that there's actually disagreement on this team about the strategy?’ And I was like, actually, I didn't know that.”
“This is like reverse prompting. So instead of telling the AI agent what you want it to do, you ask it what you should be thinking more about.”
@Jason:
“It's a mentor. It's a coach.”
Brian:
“Yeah. Like, what could make me a better CEO? And it's like, ‘Well, I looked at how you spent your time in the last quarter and here's how you said that you wanted to spend it, but you actually spent 32% of your time on this instead of 20%.’”
“I've asked it other questions like, ‘What's the thing that I changed my mind on the most over the last year?’ Things like that.”
“It'll prompt you with information you should be thinking about instead of the other way around.”
Thanks to our partner for making this happen!:

I keep thinking about this post and every time when I think about founders who are there it’s like: you have money and aren’t running out, you can build your dreams
Do you know how many people would trade places with you? So so so many people.
Touch grass. Build what you want.
most venture-backed companies end up in the same place:
raised 3-4M seed (or 10-15M series A)
built real product
got to 300-500K ARR (or 2-3M ARR)
VCs stopped caring
founders stuck with high pref stack, can't raise more, can't exit, can't even shut down cleanly
these aren't bad businesses
they're just wrong cap tables
the companies could throw off 500K-1M in profit annually
hire 2-3 more people and grow to 2-3M ARR
actually build something valuable
but they're trapped in venture math that doesn't work anymore
the discourse only covers two outcomes: unicorn or failure
nobody talks about the third path: decent business, wrong structure
thousands of quality founders stuck running companies VCs wrote off
not because they're bad operators
because they picked wrong market size or wrong cofounder or raised too early
This is what leadership looks like
Called Zack to apologize (and appreciate his willingness to talk despite the late hour).
This note from our Sales team is totally unacceptable and the opposite of how we want to work with customers.
Let me be clear in response to questions that have come up.
No one in Sales has access to the contents of customers' Figma files. Customer support and select members of our R&D team can access files in certain situations that the customer has authorized. All access is logged and we have monitoring in place.
We are formally investigating the rep behavior and will act appropriately. Our initial findings are that file names were accessed in an interface that was built for sales to address customer issues — against our training and protocols, which we are also reviewing.
Never understood why companies allow use of meeting bots built for individuals, having multiple bots record, transcribe and summarize the same meeting.
Spinach AI is built for companies so it only joins once per and serves everyone on the meeting and beyond!
The rise of the "record-by-default" enterprise!
Over the last 3 days I talked to leaders from 13 different companies coming to realize they need to systematically record all conversations across the business and looking to buy a platform that will enable that.
Conversation data isn't just about meeting notes and task automation anymore. It's about powering LLMs and AI agents with ALL relevant business context so they can deliver better outcomes. Much of that context is in conversations across the company. For example the coding agent being asked to build a feature can benefit from accessing the architecture discussion the engineering team had about that feature yesterday as well as from access to the QBR where a key customer described the problem this feature would solve.
This is why we're building the system of record for conversation data. @spinach_ai transforms unstructured dialogue into a structured data asset leveraged by people, agents and LLMs across the business.
The "record-by-default" enterprise is a new concept which is increasingly making it to CIOs’ priority lists.
You should seriously consider. Your competitors certainly are... 👀
