45 minutes from Gilman to Science Park? On a Monday afternoon? And website says no delays at all? @MBTA I literally could have walked faster if I hadn't had surgery recently. What's the deal?

Yo @AppMtnClub , having your new VP Eng send an intro email to the entire volunteer list announcing the firing of a project manager (and implicitly blaming the failure of a project on her) seems like a weird choice....

I have no idea why anyone's name needed to be in that email. I've done a lot of tech stuff in my life, writing "it's going worse than we thought, sorry" and moving on never involves a bus.

A great question!
How do you all recruit brand new FMP to leagues in your area? Looking to hear from areas that are lacking in a local college pipeline. If Hawai'i leagues have 110 people sign up, it's usually around 80-30 men to women. Advertising? Hope for the best? Work with other local sports?

2. When the expanded child tax credit expired in 2022 & millions of children were thrust back into poverty, no one said children are systemically important &we need to do everything to make sure they aren’t destitute For kids, there was nothing more that could be done

This is incredible, it's basically @VCBrags follow list as a thread. Couldn't love it more. (If twitter turns out to be the solution to one of the literal 7 deadly sins, I'm on board, btw.)
Honest Question: Does anyone have any tips for getting over envy? I've earned more money than I can spend in this lifetime, but still find myself envious of people who are richer than me or even spending more money than me. How do you fix that?

Former Chicago Red Stars defender Julianne Sitch just became the first woman to lead a men's soccer program to an NCAA title, guiding the University of Chicago to an undefeated season and Division III crown. 💪🎯

It's been a long day. We finally reached #Kherson and start arranging our return with a regular train there. But that's a long story. Take a sit. 🧵

Nuance on your Warren comment from today, @kairyssdal - MA is about to have a Dem governo again (taking over from Charlie Baker, a moderate R) meaning she could leave the senate without flipping a seat

In an unusual move, SDOT put comments from residents concerned about a traffic calming project right on the project web page and it’s kind of hilarious?

Hey @CambridgePolice -- curious if you have any department policy about uniformed officers working details in personal vehicles that support Jan 6th insurrection, advertise the presence of assault rifles, etc. Seems like a bad look....

Certainly doesn't seem well-calibrated to make your citizens feel like they'll be protected or served by the officer in question (the exceptional reputation of the department notwithstanding)
