Daniil Medvedev hilarious interaction with the umpire in Madrid.
Daniil wanted the roof to be closed because it was raining.
The umpire: “I don’t make the decision. They do.”
Daniil: “Who are ‘they?’ The Illuminati?” 😂

Well this theory sucks because the rule where you keep half of your 2019 points (for tournaments not played in 2020) is no longer in effect as of this week :/
Fingers crossed he’s just being cautious and will be ready for the US Open.
Sad news if this injury is going to keep Nadal out a while, but here’s an optimistic theory… Nadal is playing it safe bc he keeps 500 points from his 2019 win in Montreal. He gets another week to rest and get ready for Cincy where he has 1000 points to gain in a weak field.

This hurts Djokovic the most. He is now guaranteed Nadal or Thiem on his side, and guaranteed Medvedev opposite. Thiem and Nadal both GET a 50% chance of landing on Medvedev’s half.
Lot of talk about Medvedev’s level on clay lately... How many players would you make him an underdog against? Where does he rank in the world on clay?
