This was the front page they chose the day Donald Trump said he'll jail his political opponents if he wins the White House.
A 🧵the @nytimes is failing to warn Americans of the harms & danger of Trump & the impacts of another Republican-manufactured #GovernmentShutdown
Instead today NYT devotes 25% of its #FrontPage to its fashion critic to whitewash the criminal Trump clan

Wow! What sounded like the entire AEW Dynamite audience in Las Vegas tonight chanted "Fuck ICE! Fuck ICE!" in unison before the main event

So it turns out that the bribe that got Trump to sell the UAE advance artificial intelligence chips is WAY bigger than we knew. It's not just that MGX facilitated a $2b purchase with Trump's stablecoin. The UAE actually bought 49% of his whole fucking crypto company!
Four days before Trump’s inauguration, lieutenants to an Abu Dhabi royal secretly signed a deal w/the Trump family to buy a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial for $500M, according to documents & people familiar.
The buyer paid half up front, steering $187M to Trump family entities and $31M to Witkoff entities.
The investment was backed by the UAE national security adviser, Tahnoon bin Zayed. The deal put two executives at his company, G42, on the board of WLF, alongside Eric Trump and Zach Witkoff.

DHS and the DNI position were created in response to September 11th. Protecting Americans from terrorism. Coordinating intelligence. Securing the homeland.
On a list full of all timers, “This is not regime change” is the absolute dumbest bullshit these goons have tried to get the American people to swallow
Check out this perspective from Tom Brady. A little about college football, but mostly it's about mental toughness, competition, and self belief.
"I wouldn't want it any other way."

Would Tom Brady have stayed at Michigan in today’s portal/NIL era? His answer is worth a listen.

Trump is the WARS PRESIDENT.
Trump: 626+ military strikes in 11 months on 7 countries.
(nearly 100 more than Biden's full 4 years)

Amazing archive grab here. WaPo poll out this morning compares support for the Maduro grab (40% approval, -2 on net) to their polling on Noriega back in 1990 (82% approve, +65 on net)
The 60 Minutes kill job is a clusterfuck. Other than pulling Jimmy Kimmel, I’ve never seen media observers, producers, investors & advertisers so uniform in their consensus that this was a terrible idea, badly executed.
So much damage to undo. OTOH, do the Ellisons even care?

In a dramatic turnabout, the Justice Dept asked to dismiss its case against two defendants convicted in the FIFA corruption case (Hernan Lopez & Full Play Group)
Lopez had been seeking cert from SCOTUS.
DOJ gave no explanation other than it was in the "interests of justice."

Dr. Oz and Rob Bresnahan are rolling into Scranton today to talk about the health care crisis they're making worse.
Bresnahan voted for the biggest Medicaid cuts in our lifetime -- and Oz is the guy swinging the axe.
Our community deserves so much better than these two hacks.
Damn I was actually excited to watch the World Cup draw but this Trump fealty show is just beyond pathetic…
Van Epps' margin in TN-07 looks like it'll be ~7 in a district Trump won by 22, a 15% swing to Dems:
Republicans are protecting FIFTY districts they won by 15% or less in 2024.
Including 17 districts within 5%.
A win's a win but this was not a good night for GOP midterm vibes
