This! Matthew Stafford will definitely not retire better than Brady, Rodgers, Mahomes, Manning, Brees… if he’s not top 5 with guys whose careers overlapped with his, how does he become top 5 anywhere?
Additionally, he’s NEVER been the best QB in the league
Stupid stupid transfer. You don’t let players of his quality leave while harbouring people like Szoboszlai
🚨⚫️🔵 EXCLUSIVE: Inter agree deal to sign Curtis Jones from Liverpool, here we go! 💣
Verbal agreement in place at €35m package fee from #LFC, agreement also with the player and medical being planned next.
Yes, the same John Stones who missed every other game during those title wins. “Let me pay for a blue tick and start spewing stupidity to try make a little money” scum
John Stones v The Rest
I don't even think, for once, this is particularly controversial but it's all opinion on what you like with John Stones & others like Virgil Van Dijk.
Achievements wise, John Stones absolutely blows most CB's out the water:
> 6 Premier Leagues
> 1 Champions League
> 3 FA Cups
> 3 League Cups
> 2 Euro's Finals
> 2 World Cup Semi-Finals
Defensively, I think Virgil Van Dijk has more of a physical command to his game but I think John Stones is just hugely underrated on that side because of how good he is with the ball as a composed centre-back.
As a footballer, it's not even close, John Stones was trusted in a Champions League final to roll into the centre of midfield and absolutely dominate Inter Milan, closer to Rodri that night than anyone else has been, to secure a historic treble.
None of the other defenders mentioned in this debate are anywhere near that level of footballing flexibility.
💯
Thomas Tuchel was appointed for that last 30 minutes. We were told that it would be different from the knockout king and we got tactical cowardice. And if he really has no regrets, he can leave now.

The way Arsenal players have been speaking about their gameplan.. I’m most impressed by how Arteta can get them all singing from the same hymn sheet
This is the rubbish you come up with when you forget the football is played by human beings, coached by human beings and played in front of 60,000 human beings every other Saturday.
Ask yourself WHY we have so much possession and such terrible chance creation
You can be sure that next season will be better from a Liverpool perspective for literally one reason. In 80% of the games we have lost, we have dominated possession, had more box entries & created more chances than the opposition. What has been missing more than anything else is quality chance creation, we leads you back to balance of profiles we have in our frontlines.
Dominating in key statistics such as these point to a team that has a very good process, but lacks certain key attributes to make it count. Don’t believe me? Well, despite all of the noise you’ve heard about us being bad, for the first time in Slot’s era we have only just started conceding more chances than we create. Why? Well, look at who’s been on the pitch these past 5 games. (XG average below).
