Even though I went on to play college baseball and I loved baseball, I miss high school football the most. There’s just something different about that experience

One of my toxic traits at every tournament I go to is looking around at the other dads thinking…. Your wife and kids must be embarrassed at your beer belly and overall lack of self care. Being out of shape is a choice
Travel ball culture. Parents paid $2500 for the coach to eat a cheeseburger and fries in the dugout, mid-game
My sons 15U travel team went to Georgia this week to play in some “National Championship “ tourney. Beat someone 17-0 today and threw a no hitter. The other team was 1-21 coming in. Tell me how this benefits anyone. Travel ball is a scam. Wake up
When did baseball tournaments all become $12 gates? Credit card is the only option which also comes with a convenience fee.
Do you parents see the scam you’re falling for ?
To those who insist travel ball weekends are so fun and memories… what’s find about 97 degrees in baking sun and the game before you is 30 mins behind? So fun
Unpopular opinion- high school baseball will do more for development than travel ball. Lose a travel game? Oh well got another in 2 hours. Lose a tourn? Oh well got another next week. High school has pressure, intensity. The full season matters. That’s how players develop
My son’s travel team is playing in a World Series this week!!!! How’d we get here? Oh, we just paid the entry fee. Just like anyone else can do and make it to the “World Series”
Following a structured workout program vs just walking in and working out is the difference between making gains and wasting your time
Something about paying $56 over 2 days to watch our son play 2 baseball games doesn’t sit right with me.
You can’t gain muscle and get lean/cut at the same time. It’s one or the other. While building muscle you can only work in zone 2 for cardio. Anything higher than zone 2 will not burn fat but will burn muscle for energy
When following a program designed to build muscle the idea is “progressive overload “. When the program states 6-8 reps it means use weight that 6 is failure, when you can do that same weight for 8 increase again so you can only get 6.
