An ICE agent shot Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez in the back while he was delivering for DoorDash in Austin, Texas. What infuriates me most is that a loved one received a call from him shouting that he was in pain and I cannot imagine the panic his family endured as they searched for him and waited hours to learn that he was allegedly released from the hospital into ICE custody with a bullet still lodged into his back.
We will continue to speak out for transparency and justice, ICE cannot keep operating in this inhumane way.
