Shipping software got dramatically easier in the last year. Getting people to use it didn't.
I've been feeling it with every project: @lumenfall_ai, @podium_ade and Pipp (all with my co-founder @gianwirth). Building is the fun part now. Distribution is the bottleneck.
I'm an engineer, so I'm approaching it like one. I want to get really good at distribution engineering, and I'll share the whole journey here.
Everything I learn goes into astrogate, a TUI I'm building for my own projects. Here's what I got so far:
1. Positioning first. It helps you define your brand platform, the words you use for the product, your competition and how people actually search for it. Stored as md files next to your source code.
2. A real demo. It learns to set up your product with believable fake data on its own, and gives your agents a CLI to grab screenshots and recordings for the website or social posts.
3. Growth research. Skills that generate ideas and turn them into tasks, then hand them to an agent as a package. Or maybe as "growth missions" inside the tool, not decided yet.
Lots will change. It goes open source once it's good enough.
If you build things and struggle to get them in front of people, follow along. I'll share what works and what doesn't.

There's no shortcut to distribution 💣
No agent does it faster for you. You find the right people, learn from your first customers, and let word of mouth compound
Agents realising that something stalled and then autonomously recovering by adding a replacement agent 🤯
Don't underestimate a good coordination engine and its impact on your output.
Update on the Astrogate UI: after a few rounds with Opus, this looks already better.
Astrogate is an open-source tool I'm working on, that helps you with distribution, by ensuring the marketing basics are set, by standardising a demo setup for screenshots and much more...
Claude lead engineer sharing some tipps on good prompting for complex tasks
Hi, I'm Felix. I'm an eng lead working on Claude. I love watching people take flight and do things they never thought possible.
We often describe that as "being more ambitious" when using AI, which is tricky advice to follow. I wrote a tutorial:

Building agent-native dev tools in public.
If you run coding agents in parallel or think reading code is over, say hi, I want you on my timeline 🤝
Enjoyed this article by @tinyprojectsdev on how he's used @bot for his project. Especially the marketing bot caught my interest, since it runs a TikTok and YouTube account for him now.
And the secret feature it created for him while he was asleep 👌

For all you guys trying to build an audience on X, Julie wrote an interesting list of what to do and don't
i got 9M views in the past 3 months, then X changed its algo a lot, so I read the code to keep playing the game (it's open source)
Here's how X actually ranks posts (Oct 2026)
- Copy-link share 20. Reply 5. Quote 5. DM share 5. Follow 4. Repost 1. Like 0.5.
- Likes barely move the score. Write things people copy the link to, argue with, or send to a friend.
- The first 2 hours decide everything.
After 48 hours a post drops out of For You completely. Post when your audience is online, then stay in the replies.
- Build mutual follows. When you reply to a mutual follow inside your own thread, that reply gets an extra +15, for 20 total, the same as a copy-link share. Reply to the people who follow you back.
- Don't delete and repost to fix typos. Use edit.
- Images aren't penalized, but they should carry information. Real scenes, screenshots, and proof-style images work better, and multi-photo posts keep people on the post longer.
- Video: watch time currently counts for nothing. Only opening a video counts (0.07). Don't force video for the algorithm.
- Ordinary links aren't penalized (anymore); only malicious links are removed.
- Avoid negative feedback. Report −234, mute −58.8, "not interested" −47.5, block −31.2. Tagging strangers to ride a trend and clickbait headlines are the easiest ways to trigger them.
- Replies are scored by Grok from 0 to 3, and low-scoring replies sink to the bottom of the thread. Low-effort replies don't just fail to help, they get buried.
For Astrogate (my open source distribution engineering tool) I'm working with a TUI for the first time. This is what Opus 5.5 came up with so far.
It's a different experience than when I do webdesign... there, I typically get agents to come up with pretty nice UIs fairly quickly.
I guess it's lack of skill like not knowing the right words to use in the TUI UX space, or maybe models are not as well trained with TUI design than they are with the billions of websites in their datasets.
Let's see how this looks after a bit of focused feedback.
Grok Bot will get direct Apple connectors soon. So all the CLI workarounds to give it access to the Calendar, etc.. won't be necessary anymore
We waited way too long to cut a new release for Podium. So many good things in this one.
From now on we'll commit to a weekly release rhythm.
Podium v0.2.0 is out 🚀
→ Reliable native chat for every agent (including Pi)
→ One-line VPS install: tunnel/Tailscale set up for you
→ 10x faster session switching on big workspaces
→ See what every task costs
→ Experimental Windows + Linux builds
