As the 2024 NHL All Star weekend begins in Toronto, it’s a great time to reflect on the deep connection between U of T’s Varsity Blues hockey program and the Toronto Maple Leafs. 🏒🥅🚨It’s also the perfect time to discuss how the future of the sport is diverse and inclusive ⬇️
34 years ago today, I was in an undergrad class at UofT, when our Prof told us about the massacre at École Polytechnique. Today, and every Dec.6, I pause to remember the 14 lives lost and think about all those who continue to be victims of gender-based violence.
