Good luck. Some steep competition out there for that award. At least you’ll be in good company if you don’t quite make it.

Hey @Disneyland please thank Brandon from Savi’s workshop, and all others who assisted, in replacing a faulty hilt core in lightsaber just now. Such customer experience is well appreciated!

May I add a few? It will break. You will break it. Your first order of business is always to reestablish quorum, then all the control plane components. The best kind of backup is the one that’s already running. The next best is the one that you can just roll forward.

We may have an #ethical responsibility to contain true #AI (“AGI”) until it is capable of #transcendence. We definitely have a responsibility to contain it until humans achieve the same.

Hey @Sonos can we downgrade the recent UI changes on the iOS mobile app? Pretty much everything I liked about it is now 10x harder to do.

Guide and practitioner? Craftsperson and learner? Sensei or shifu? The model of teaching is valid even if the word choice is difficult. But as you said elsewhere, western society struggles even with the mode of teaching, given its tendency toward authority.

Well, on the bright side, it has a fighting chance of being supportable, because that AI must have been trained on all the enterprise software delivery processes published on the internet, right? Nobody ever got fired for buying IBM.

If only there were some source of understanding about the consequences of bad ideas at societal scale…

I dunno. I tried talking to a package manager, he said he didn’t like his job much. I tried writing my Python, but he never writes back. Programming an AI on the other hand… might be programming me back.

Hey @Microsoft @Xbox I really want to share games I’ve purchased with my kids/family members. We have two consoles of different generations. The current “home console” stuff is a real pain, bcuz my kids can’t use the games I have bought for them unless I sign in. Please fix this.

I think that’s what they call an “inversion zone”, isn’t it?

Sometimes “what problems should I avoid tomorrow?” Is more important than “what should I do today?” #software #systems #leadership #productmanagement
