A proud moment for all of us at #InfoQ: we make a cameo several times in "The Java Story" documentary.
Even better, many of the people featured in the documentary have also been QCon speakers over the years.

Of course the documentary only includes the stories that can be safely shared in public.
There are several others involving standards battles, open-source politics, and strong personalities.
Those will remain in the unofficial InfoQ memories for now 😉
Twenty years ago today #InfoQ version 0.7 was officially launched 🎂
The detail is easy to miss in the original announcement, but it was deliberate. Version numbers, we wrote, "are usually used on software projects, not public websites".
The discipline is the opposite: find the engineers actually shipping this stuff, get them to write honestly, peer-review the result, put it in front of the senior people who have to decide next quarter.
To the 4M+ software practitioners who read InfoQ every year, to every editor and contributor: thank you.
The changelog continues 🚀

I can’t believe @QConSF is just a couple weeks away. This year I’ve had the pleasure of being on the Programme Committee and let me tell you, the talks this year look exceptional.
As we were building the schedule, there were so many times I wished I could clone myself to be there in multiple tracks.
If you haven’t got your ticket, get on it! qconsf.com
