Synchrony will, ALAS, not be continuing!
Currently @Babycastles our starting point is still closed, @Amtrak is not running trains from NYC to Montreal, and we have no place to have the compos in Montreal! So we cannot plan a 2023 party, and are wrapping up the project
We had a great time and hope you did too!
Many helped out over the years, with the 2020 team being @ra @uglymachine @kanawish @GlandeurLessard @nickmofo Frank DeMarco, Carl Therrien @scenesat
Thanks to all of you who came to the party over the years 2016-2020!
Attention browser-based sizecoders! Taper 5 is out, as is the call for work for Taper 6

Attention Synchrony participants and #demoscene folks!
In Generative Unfoldings, 15 commissions of $1000 will be awarded for generative art, to run live in an in-browser exhibition—all are welcome to apply
Deadline for sketches/prototypes: November 1

Given the pandemic, there is no safe and responsible way to have Synchrony as “the party on the train,” from New York City to Montreal, in January 2021. Because Synchrony is a unique opportunity for us to get together in person, we're not planning an online substitute.
One of many quality productions done while riding the rails!
I made a picture of Cobra's Computorium on the train to Montréal for @syncnyc! #demoscene #SGI #PowerPC #dotmatrix #zipdisk #punchcard #pixelart #aseprite
(the real computorium is not this tidy :)
All results are posted synchrony.nyc/2020/ AND all productions are now available for download files.scene.org/view/parties… on the scene.org file archive — congratulations to all who gave us entries & to the winners
Woo! Thanks to all who came on the train, all who made the 27 entires, sponsors/venues @Babycastles @Shopify & the people who made it work @ra @uglymachine Etienne @GlandeurLessard @nickmofo

Visuals for the three sets of music at the @Babycastles kickoff for Synchrony, this Friday, will be by Diane! synchrony.nyc
Coming to us from Philly with Game Boys, @Storm_Blooper will play at the kickoff @Babycastles synchrony.nyc
The Synchrony kickoff @Babycastles will also have a set of livecoded music by @ashlaeblume aka ukiyobang. Did you know 1 in 100 Americans plays the accordion? Come to the whole demoparty: synchrony.nyc
