ALT Syncarpha Capital, a New York-based developer, owner, and operator of solar and storage projects, is pleased to announce that its community solar project, Troy Solar I, has received Permission to Operate (PTO) from Central Maine Power (CMP) on April 15, 2025. This milestone marks the company’s seventh operational community solar project in Maine, further expanding its commitment to delivering clean, affordable energy across the state.

ALT By storing excess renewable energy during periods of overproduction and releasing it when demand rises, BESS allows clean energy to be dispatched on demand, giving grid operators the flexibility to smooth out supply fluctuations, reduce curtailment, and avoid relying on fossil fuel peaker plants.

ALT Syncarpha’s Tewksbury Landfill Solar Project: Syncarpha’s Tewksbury Landfill Solar project is a ballast-mounted, community solar garden constructed in Tewksbury, Massachusetts on the 50-acre Sutton Brook Disposal Area also known as “Rocco Landfill”. The project became operational in February 2022 and provides clean energy to the City of Everett, Tufts University, and local National Grid residents. The project produces enough clean energy annually to power about 400 homes, equivalent to avoiding harmful CO2 emissions from about 3.5 million pounds of coal burned.
