Every time I have doubts about web3, or hear how crypto has no real use, I go back to this video. youtu.be/gipL_CEw-fk

You couldve also tweeted that you need to be white and male 😂
As a male, your height 100% matters. Disagree? Sit in on an executive board meeting. If you’re under 6’ (like me), you had better be abnormally social, smart, athletic, etc, because you’ll have to find confidence somewhere else.

Had three recruiter calls with real estate development companies walk away from interviews this month once they found out I was on H1B Visa. Ugh.

Unpopular opinion: most architects are fungible and offer no differentiation in service.

Love this. Architects needed a wake up call anyway. Let’s redefine what architectural expertise entails.

450 Warren st. 1400PSF condo in Brooklyn. Developers would be shocked to see kitchen with almost no storage and non-functional kitchen island seating. Yet all units sold except PH. Did they market it correctly or does ‘function’ not matter as much as long as design is good?

Tankhouse is the developer and they are working on another project with So-il, the architect. I assume the aesthetics will be similar.

Beautiful landscaping should be a requirement for any developments that aim to differentiate themselves from the rest.

The budget was small relative to the acquisition price. We had to focus our dollars on the “most bang for the buck”. This was the public areas, a lobby bar addition, major landscaping plan on the upper and lower courtyard, the pool and the rooftop.

3. Why I don't submit my work for awards You know who loves design awards? Designers. You know who doesn't care? Clients.

Growing up in Korea, karaoke was a thing. Because Koreans are so competitive and conscious of public appearance, you had to come up with at least one song youre good at. That said, karaoke in the US seem to be about being loud, silly and tolerating bad singing 😂.

Most people are simply reluctant to change. If top restaurants in the world can use induction for finer control and accuracy, it's probably better for home use as well. Induction tops have a cleaner design as well. 😆
Gas stoves are the main character on twitter this week but a reminder that our entire playbook at @ImpulseLabs_ is that *this should not be a culture war*. Just ship obviously better stuff. impulselabs.com/#early-acces…

Last year I paid around 700 for the AIA membership. Debating what the best way is to make the most out of it.

I can say with 70~80% certainty that having that experience is no longer a premium and everyone and 100s of their friends have worked in the same office.

If that key experience with a master was the only thing that could ever so justify an unsustainable business practice of fine dining/starchitecture/etc., I wonder if those models are even moral when that exp. isn't as valuable as it used to be.
