Can't even have a cute 'lil coffee shop in my neighborhood because of restrictive zoning😠 #CommonSenseZoningReformNow
A country where every neighborhood can have a bistro downstairs, legally and by right.

Miami-Dade, we're ready if you are!
Thank you to the Commissioners for hearing me today. The same meeting took up Metrobus service, and those decisions touch real people's lives. What I proposed adds to transit, not takes from it: first and last mile above the street, funded outside the operating budget. #MiamiTransit @swyftcities @ChariotLiving

Board in Twin Cities at noon, be in Chicago for dinner. Trains rock when they're convenient, and it takes nearly as long to park at the airport, stand in TSA line, wait to board, delays & figure out how to get downtown.

"What's the one thing you would change about Miami?" "The traffic" We couldn't agree more!🚡Miami & Miami Beach, we're ready to solve traffic if you are!
Who’s in Miami Today? 🌴🎤 Meet Nick, originally from Los Angeles, now living in Miami Beach, the founder of a company called Chariot Living. We asked about life, dreams, and what makes Miami…. Miami. How would YOU finish this sentence: “Miami is ______.” 👇 #WhosInMiamiToday #Miami #MiamiLife #PeopleOfMiami #StreetInterview @NickGarzilli @ChariotLiving @swyftcities

We'll gladly move people in & out of LAX for 1/10th the price and 2X the fun🚡
Replying to @swyftcities
LAX spent 3.4B for a people mover that hasn't moved a single passenger yet and yet when it does open it won't be as fun as this. @flyLAXairport

On Sept. 29, 2019, the #DisneySkyliner started service at Walt Disney World. 50 million riders later, it's still the most fun way to get around #WDW

Every American city could do this do. Jersey City & Hoboken already have. It's just a matter of having the political courage to decide that saving people's lives is important. planetizen.com/features/1358…
"The Finnish capital has not experienced a single pedestrian fatality in the past 12 months, thanks to Vision Zero. Given these successes, to quit Vision Zero and succumb to failure is a death sentence for thousands — especially children." planetizen.com/features/1358…

There's room for both. High density areas need a high density solution. Mid density needs either cheap tunnels or even cheaper cable solutions (Swyft Cities/Whoosh)

The Whoosh system is moving closer to reality in Queenstown NZ🚡Local business leaders are confident about right-of-ways and funding to create "a wide network, with many small stations and point-to-point journeys without transfers"
Good news for Queenstown NZ. Yesterday the Mountain Scene reported that momentum is building for a solution to the traffic problems in the community. The path to glide over gridlock with Whoosh is taking shape. #urbantransportation #urbantransport #transportation #queenstown #newzealand #kiwitech

Private helipads may be good for some, but we think better Miami transportation should work for everyone!🚠🌴😎

Autonomous vehicles don't have to be only on or under the ground. Autonomous EVs on suspended cables are 20X cheaper to build than rail. 2X faster trips than Waymo.
Subways and light rail are legacy technologies and economically untenable in a modern union building environment. Autonomous buses and cars are the answers. Break the back of SFMTA and implement citywide autonomous mini-buses, buses, and autonomous paratransit.

In case anyone's wondering if there are better uses for parking lots. Welcome to LA's newest, coolest rooftop restaurant😎🌴 (Shoutout to @LindsayJS for spotting the post from @beckyhartung)
This rooftop restaurant used to be a parking lot in Pasadena.

Love to see how the urban gondola conversation has changed 🚡
Outside of Colorado and Western PA, where else would gondolas work?

Let’s turn on the innovation mindset
Replying to @the_transit_guy
Why waste DECADES building a freeway or LRT when smart gondolas can be built in MONTHS -- the lightest, simplest infrastructure of any transit mode. And less infrastructure much cheaper to build too.
