🚨 Roy Keane: “Everyone blames the system... but Palace are in top 4 with the same one. Utd even got better players on paper. Pep shove lads out of position and still win. Fergie threw Park at RB & he dropped a 10/10. Excuses? Rubbish...it's mentality.”

What’s mad is when ETH finished 8th and the stats said he should be 15th people ate that shit up and used it to bash him Now we’re being told by that stats that we should be 4th. The same people are saying the stats are bollocks and it’s a load of nonsense Interesting 🤔

The Manchester United "Squad building" myth One thing that pisses me off coming from the latest #managerout crowd is the constant barrage of: "we've spent millions on HIS signings for HIS style" "signing players only for his style will set us back years" "he's got his players and still can't compete" "his style needs too many specialist profiles" This is all bollocks. A) He's signed 4 players and 3 have barely played 2-3 games together. B) All the players signed can play in multiple systems, not just Rubens. C) Our squad is 3-5 players short of being decent, the same problem thats hurt EVERY manager post Fergie. But even putting all that to the side, our squad building ability has been shit for years and like it or not our squad barely scrapes into the top 6-8 and yet fans want, expect and demand form of a top 4 club🤷 Every single manager post Fergie reached the stage of: "the squad is better than this" "this squad would do so much more with a new manager" "if only the manager played XXX we'd be much better" and in hindsight always turns out to be bollocks and each manger has failed again and again.. In the end everything can be pointed back at the Glazers, poor transfers and poor squad building, never seeing a project, a rebuild through and never giving ANY manager the players they need to compete. Regardless who the manager is and regardless what system is being played to compete in the Premier League today you need physical, fast, technically sound players that have composure. You need monsters. Go and look at the squads of Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City or Chelsea... particularly there starting 11's. They are FULL of PL Proven players with 3-5 years PL experience. Our squad doesnt even come close, this is the current state of our squad: I'll let you guess the players: GK - Unproven in PL / Backup: Unproven in PL LWB - Unproven in PL / Backup: Unproven in PL CB - Decent / Backup: Injury prone CB - Slow as fuck / Backup: Kid learning CB - Decent young learning CB / Backup: Injury prone RWB - Playing out of position / Backup: Don't even go there CM - Learning a new position, not natural / Backup: young, fitness issues, not creative, not physical enough CM - Declining / Backup: zero confidence or technical ability. L.10 - Decent / Backup: Injury Prone ST - Unproven in PL / Backup: Not a natural ST R.10 - Decent / Backup: Playing at RWB or in CM You all want to berate Ruben Amorim but not willing to accept our squad is way off. It doesn't matter who the manager is, not a single manager since the day Fergie left has been given a full squad and a decent starting 11 without having 2 or 3 melons in it producing constant brain farts.. Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, Casemiro, Bayindir to name a few, 5 starters that wouldn't get anywhere near any other Top 8 starting 11. Give Ruben or any manager a chance without those players and then judge them, give a manager a fighting chance. INEOS are trying, trying to fix it, trying to change it, trying to buy good, young players but unfortunately the financial constraints and dirty baggage from the Glazers era will no doubt drag Ruben down with it... Maybe one day people will start going after the real bad guys and stop battering the ones trying to fix the mess they put us in.

During pre-season, a Sporting Lisbon fan reached out to me with confidence that Ruben Amorim would turn it around at Manchester United, highlighting his ability to turn a squad into fighters, a family. I reached out to him today, asking him whether he was surprised about Amorim's stubbornness at United so far, shown through his inability to show any adaptation to his ways of playing football. Here was his response: "Hey Frank, I hope you are well. I am not shocked, even though I never thought it would be so hard for him to have the players doing the basics – but I knew it would be hard. "Forget the stubbornness, that shouldn’t be your concern. Amorim changes a LOT in his teams – so many times last year we had just 2 in the back, or one of the centre backs going forward and acting like wingers, or one of the midfielders opening on a side to allow for one of the centre backs to go forward. He changes a lot but only once he sees the team are very comfortable with the basic patterns. "The problem, though, is not this. I’ve said this after Grimsby, he gave up. He sees a team that can only be aggressive in big matches as Arsenal or Chelsea. I know him well and he said everything after that match – he feels he is not capable to make the team understand that they have to give everything in every single match, every little detail. So he gave up. "I am absolutely confident that, if you guys sack him, he will have a lot of success elsewhere. He has a winner profile and knows a lot about football. The only mistake we’ve made (him and fans that know him well as I do) was to believe that he could make a team out of any group of players. He can’t. And I really can’t see who can make a team out of these United players. "I don’t know United that well to be able to point the reason why this weak mentality is so prevalent there – I’ve been following Sporting every day for the last 27 years, it’s not the same with United. But I can tell it runs deep in the club. Too many years of bad football heritage. "Also, you guys have a fanbase that is still not ready to accept being a mid-table team for a couple of years, but that’s what you guys are now. "Little details (literally two penalties) would have put you in the 7th place now with Man City, but the fanbase is not ready to have the little details go wrong for long. "Manchester United is huge, but history doesn’t win games and the size of the fanbase doesn’t win titles. "I don’t think (at all) that he is setting you guys up to lose. I hate Dalot and even I think he should be able to know how to do the basics. Just as I love Bruno and I think he should be able to manage his emotions during the match. There are just too many little things to change. With no time to change them."

If you genuinely think Rùben Amorim is the reason we are abysmal and should be sacked for our current problems then you haven’t been observant in the last 13 years. —#MUFC problem breakdown Owners 60% —Players 35%—Manager 5%
I'm in utter disbelief that he hasn't been sacked yet.

A new manager doesn't necessarily need new players to succeed, by the way. We have players that can fit into a 442, 433, 4231, 4321 or 343 formations. Since a majority of our fans believe Amorim is solely the problem, I would be expecting instant success from the next manager.

Are you fucking stupid? We lost to Brentford not Barcelona. We dont need a world class xi to be competitive.

Manchester United’s Endless Cycle When Erik ten Hag was dismissed, I said it then and I’ll repeat it now: within a year, Manchester United would find themselves right back in the same position. And here we are. The truth is, blame at this football club isn’t a simple equation. The manager is accountable. Certain players are accountable. The owners are accountable. All of them 100%. United’s problems are not tactical tweaks or transfer fixes. They’re cultural and psychological. We’re talking about a club riddled with a broken mentality, where leadership is hollow and accountability is non-existent. Matheus Cunha summed it up yesterday when he pointed out what United lack most: character. Look at the dressing room dynamics. Bruno Fernandes racks up stats but too often escapes deeper scrutiny when the team falters. Diogo Dalot continues to masquerade as a modern wing-back without truly being one. Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw both senior figures are repeat offenders in costly errors. These aren’t peripheral players; these are loud voices, influential presences in the squad. Sacking another manager may feel like action, but it’s only papering over cracks in a collapsing structure. United has gone through Moyes, van Gaal, Mourinho, Solskjær, Rangnick, Ten Hag, and now possibly another yet the same rot resurfaces every time. At some point, we must confront reality: the issue isn’t just the man on the touchline. It’s systemic. Manchester United needs an overhaul from top to bottom, not just a shiny new forward or a fresh managerial face. This is about redefining culture, accountability, and footballing identity. Until that happens, the cycle will continue. Sack this manager, bring in Oliver Glasner the so-called “Mr. Nice Guy” and I’ll watch on as the same decline unfolds once again. This is not about patience, nor blind loyalty. It’s about intelligence. If the club continues to operate with short-term, one-dimensional thinking, then United’s decline will not only persist it will accelerate.

Jim Ratcliffe needs to be held responsible for his actions @ManUtd he knew what the Glazers had done but still gave them a way to stay, he is as guilty as them for what’s happening. He stopped us getting an owner should would have cleared the debt
