Number 9 Only in America ...could people claim that the government still discriminates against black Americans when they have a black President, a black Attorney General and roughly 20% of the federal workforce is black while only 14% of the population is black 40+% of all federal entitlements goes to black Americans - 3X the rate that go to whites, 5X the rate that go to Hispanics! Number 8 Only in America...could they have had the two people most responsible for our tax code, Timothy Geithner (the head of the Treasury Department) and Charles Rangel (who once ran the Ways and Means Committee), BOTH turn out to be tax cheats who are in favor of higher taxes. Number 7 Only in America...can they have terrorists kill people in the name of Allah and have the media primarily react by fretting that Muslims might be harmed by the backlash. Number 6 Only in America...would they make people who want to legally become American citizens wait for years in their home countries and pay tens of thousands of dollars for the privilege, while they discuss letting anyone who sneaks into the country illegally just 'magically' become American citizens (probably should be number one). Number 5 Only in America....could the people who believe in balancing the budget and sticking by the country's Constitution be thought of as EXTREMIST'S. Number 4 Only in America...could you need to present a driver's license to cash a check or buy alcohol, but not to vote. Number 3 Only in America...could people demand the government investigate whether oil companies are gouging the public because the price of gas went up when the return on equity invested in a major U.S. Oil company(Marathon Oil) is less than half of a company making tennis shoes (Nike). Number 2 Only in America... could you collect more tax dollars from the people than any nation in recorded history, still spend a Trillion dollars more than it has per year-for total spending of $7-Million PER MINUTE, and complain that it doesn't have nearly enough money . And Number 1 Only in America...could the rich people-who pay 86% of all income taxes - be accused of not paying their "fair share" by people who don't pay any income taxes at all . Being There is only one way in which you as a disciple will know that Jesus has altered your disposition, and that is by trying circumstances. When circumstances put you to the test, rather than feeling resentment you experience a most amazing change inside. You say, “Praise God, this is an amazing alteration! I know now that God has changed me, because if this had happened to me before I would have been sour and irritable and sarcastic and spiteful. But now there is a well of sweetness in me which I know never came from myself.” The proof that God has altered our disposition is not that we persuade ourselves that He has. Rather, we prove He has when circumstances put us to the test. Criticism of Christians is not wrong, it is absolutely right. When we say we are born again, we are put under scrutiny, and rightly so. Criticism is an expression of a person’s desire to have authority/be superior over another. Problem is there’s always something the critic doesn’t know about the other. So chill on being a critic and let the Holy Spirit direct you. He will.

Gentiles have never been under the Mosaic Law. Even the early Church fathers decided not to impose the bondage of the Law upon the Gentile believers, since they weren't able to bear it themselves (Acts 15:13-24).

1 Chronicles 28:20 “And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.” Philippians 1:6 “confident of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. Therefore, as sure as a promise was made to Solomon, so the same promise is given to you. You can come to a point in your life where you realize that the dreams you had, the goals you set aren’t going to happen. That can, if you’re not careful, send you into an introspective crisis. But if you’re a believer, there won’t be a crisis because the promise of God is that what He wants to do in you will be completed. Period. Perhaps or right now, you felt you were praying in harmony with God’s heart - but nothing happened. Don’t give up. The promise is that the work will be completed. It might take an entirely different course than what you thought, but God will complete His work for your life.

He who is of a proud heart stirs up strife, But he who trusts in the Lord will be prospered. He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, But whoever walks wisely will be delivered.

Ephesians 4:32 “Be ye kind one to another,” tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you”. What was Jesus last miracle before he went to the cross? He healed the soldier’s ear that was cut off by Peter. May the Lord help us to be healing, forgiving, redemptive people.

How has God loved me? God has loved me to the end of all my sinfulness, the end of all my self-will, all my selfishness, all my stiff-neckedness, all my pride, all my self-interest; now He says—“love one another, as I have loved you.” I am to show to my fellow-men the same love that God showed to me. That is Christianity in practical working order.
