5-0! 😤 Big-time district victory against Boswell on Friday night 💥 Love how the boys fought, but the job isn’t finished yet. Still gotta lock in and stay hungry if we wanna reach our full potential 📈 1% better every single day. @CoachTKeller @swingursword @HoelzerJohn

273 YARDS. 4 TOUCHDOWNS. 🔥 Keller RB Blake Dyniewski put together a monster performance against Timber Creek, rushing for 273 yards and four touchdowns. Dyniewski brings a smooth running style with great contact balance and legitimate breakaway speed. That combination makes him an intriguing collegiate running back prospect who can create explosive plays while still running through contact. The question now: Is Blake Dyniewski the best running back in District 4-6A? 👀 #TXHSFB #DFWFootball #HighSchoolFootball #KellerFootball

They love you one day and hate you the next, so ask yourself..What do these opportunities mean to you? Success can weaken you if you let it..and let me explain. Taking in all the praise can make you feel like you’ve already made it..causing you to forget the mentality that got you into this position. I’m not saying you shouldn’t appreciate the love and respect you’ve earned it. You just have to treat these situations like the game..good play or bad play..next play mentality. Success can actually make things tougher because people start expecting more. Keep doing what you’re doing, and continue to let God lead. I’m proud of you..and I love you kid. I look forward to watching you ball tonight! Go Dragons! 🐉

Dan Campbell has a special spot in his heart for high school football. I asked the Lions head coach if he had a message for players and coaches beginning their seasons. His answer was as fantastic as you’d expect it to be.

Tony Dungy says that when he coached the Buccaneers and Colts his scouts gave prospects just two letter grades: one for athleticism and one for character. “When I coached at Tampa and Indianapolis, I had our scouts give a letter grade for athleticism, but also a letter grade for character.” “We were looking for those A characters. The teammate that everybody wanted to be around. The teammate that elevated everyone else. If we got enough of those guys, I knew we were going to find talent.” "Teammates that want to be together... That togetherness, that unity, that teamwork. Nobody is the star. Everybody is together." “Look at Seattle, all the talk about is the PEOPLE they've brought in... DeMarcus Lawrence is a great player, but he’s a leader and a great person. Cooper Kupp is a fantastic receiver, but he’s galvanized the receiver room.” “That, to me, is what wins championships.”

How is Ron Washington, time and time again, able to help his infielders make significant strides on defense? A few weeks ago, I worked with Wash to find out. And yeah, it was incredibly hard. Story: mercurynews.com/2026/05/22/r… Video: youtube.com/watch?v=Ri3oetV-…

Mike Leach shares a must-listen postgame message on resilience, adversity, and failure. "Nothing is really, really, really fun unless it's hard. Nothing is really fun unless it's hard." "We've got to embrace that things are gonna be hard. We've got to embrace to be excited when things are hard." Successful people don't fear obstacles - they embrace them. "You gotta embrace to be excited about it being hard and playing extremely hard." "Even if you get way up on somebody, you want to be as hard as you possibly can because you're pushing yourself. And all of a sudden you're making great plays, you're doing things that you've never done before." Growth requires discomfort. You have to be willing to look bad before you get better. Then he ended with one line: "Embrace the fact that it's hard. Never hope that it's easy." If you only chase what's easy, you'll never become great. Embrace the hard because that is where growth, success, and character are built. (🎥 Washington State)

In 2021, I was fired from my alma mater. That was a very tough situation to deal with. I’ve been knocked down many times in my career as a player and as a coach. This one hit differently. I chose to pick myself up and keep working. Bet on myself as a head coach in 2023 and continued to develop myself as a head coach and play caller. Surrounded myself with great coaches and people. Continued to recruit and develop people to be the best versions of themselves. We’re 3 months into 2026 and we continue to pour into our players and our program! Champions think differently and we are coming for it all! Great things are ahead! When you get knocked down pick yourself up and look in the mirror and control the controllable in your life!! #4thand1Mindset #GRIT 🙌🧩🏆🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Coach Leach used to say “all sacks are on the quarterback.” As a player, that used to piss me off — because we all know that's not true. Sometimes the protection breaks down, a back misses a chip, or a tackle gets beat. But looking back, it was great coaching! It was about ownership and improving the situation. If you’re a quarterback and you view every sack as being on YOU, you’ll look for ways to improve it: -Change the play call. -Adjust the protection. -Check the ball down. -Scramble. -Throw it away. But if you shrug it off as “the O-line’s fault,” you give your power away. You can only improve when THEY do — and that keeps you stagnant. The same principle applies in other area’s for QB’s. A receiver drops a ball? -Take ownership. Ask yourself: Did I have the right pace? Was it a good location? Was it the right read? Did I spend time with him after practice working that route? A missed signal? -Take ownership. Did I communicate it clearly? Did I hold an extra signal meeting? When you take this mindset — “it’s on me” — you stay focused on how you can grow, not on who you can blame. Now, bring that into your own field. What are the “sacks” in your business, career, or relationships that you can start taking ownership of today? Because ownership always leads to improvement — and excuses always lead to stagnation. coachlukefalk.com/themindstr… #MindStrength #Leadership

"Good players want to be coached. And there are a lot of coaches now that are afraid to coach guys. The best players...want somebody to help them get better-somebody to develop them-somebody to coach them." Average players only seek praise. Great players seek to be pushed.
