Stability, clean and safe housing make life better for all in the long run.
Military spouses are part of readiness. A task force built around them deserves a public audience, and it's good to see DoW putting it in front of one. @swiftillery is a military spouse, and we talk about the challenges in that space.
The Barracks Task Force was built for junior enlisted service members. We were the only non-Department participant. We met weekly at first and joined a barracks tour in November. We haven't received any communication from the task force since, or any wrap-up from DoW. Until then we will continue to advocate for improved living conditions.
I feel so lucky to have been taking photos of families this morning as I watched the USS Lincoln pull in.

There is nothing I love more than walking around a Nordstrom or a mall in general. I fear I just love to look at pretty things.

It’s not that money wasn’t allocated for the barracks Task Force but the service members I chat with are not seeing it. We are now over 2 weeks with Carson Soldiers without AC.
