🚨 FOLLOW THE MONEY 💰 AGAIN Christopher Harborne, one of Reform’s biggest donors, is a major shareholder in Tether. Tether invested $775m in Rumble. Rumble kept Russian state broadcasters online after the invasion of Ukraine and was used as a major distribution platform by Tenet Media, the covert Kremlin influence operation exposed by the US Department of Justice. Harborne is also a major shareholder in QinetiQ, which supplies the UK Ministry of Defence and allied militaries. There is no allegation that Harborne himself did anything wrong, and his lawyers say he strongly opposes Putin. But this is exactly why the financial networks behind political mega-donors deserve scrutiny. Money, media, crypto, defence, politics - connections matter.

Governments do not decide Britain’s future for eternity. Voters do. “No plans” describes the Government’s present policy; it does not make rejoining impossible. Governments change policy when economic reality, public opinion and electoral pressure make the existing position unsustainable. Brexit itself happened after decades of politicians being told it would never happen. Now Brexit is damaging trade, farming and investment, while Britain increasingly copies EU rules from outside. This week Brussels made clear that British industry cannot expect “made in Europe” treatment while Britain provides a potential back door for Chinese goods. So yes, I will continue making the case for rejoining the single market and ultimately the EU. That is how democratic change works: people argue, organise and persuade until government policy changes. Perhaps you need to get that into your head.
