De 1 miljard bezuinigingen op hoger onderwijs en wetenschap zijn zeer ingrijpend voor universiteiten. En dat terwijl dit kabinet juist tot de top van de wereld wil behoren #universiteitenhelpenNLvooruit
De aangekondigde onderwijsbezuinigingen zijn "heel slecht nieuws voor Nederland", vindt @CasparvdBerg van de koepelorganisatie van universiteiten. Hij zegt dat we juist moeten investeren in onze wetenschappers. "Anders mis je de boot definitief met de VS en China."

Wat de minister doet is broekzak-vestzak. 1 miljard bezuinigen, blijft 1 miljard bezuinigen. De dreun voor studenten en medewerkers is nog even groot als in het Hoofdlijnenakkoord. We hadden gehoopt en gerekend op een reële verlichting. Dit is schuiven, niet oplossen.
