they used to do psychological torture to Emily St. James on a weekly basis in the name of American Horror Story recaps
I miss AV Club series recaps where you could tell that a particular show was driving the writer to madness

The creation of the Kaedra is one of the most beautiful pieces of storytelling I've ever seen in a ttrpg. I hope I get to watch Brennan and Aabria tell stories together for a long, long time. #criticalrolespoilers

If i had a nickel for every time in the last year a guy ripped another guy's spine out of his body in a show I love, I'd have two nickels, which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.

Remembering when I was at a Hugh Dancy theater thing with Hannibal fans and some rando complained how Hannibal fans were only there for Hugh Dancy and the tix should've gone to "real" theater fans. My guy, I promise the Venn Diagram of Hannibal fans and theater fans is a circle.

Hi friends! I have a new story out today in the June issue of @PitheadChapel that can best be summarized as "divorced dad has a weird time at the YMCA" and I hope you'll give it a read! pitheadchapel.com/belly/

interesting the disconnect iwtv seems to have between its respective departments bc the writers room has an entire wall of fanmade art while the new intro is riddled with ai slop... whats up with that

JCO Paterson posting is a sign that it's time to rewatch Paterson.
eerily "ordinary" life celebrated in Jim Jarmusch's haunting minimalist film "Paterson" which I have seen several times & always feel such loss when it ends--as it does, quietly & powerfully. in its way this is an audacious film, an experiment in slow/cyclical/Zen time at a time when movies are primarily action, fast-time, special effects. but then, it's a film about poetry, specifically the vessel bearing poetry which is "ordinary" life heightened by observation. much love William Carlos Williams also--"No ideas but in things." the original "Paterson"--homage to Paterson NJ.

I genuinely love when I'm engaging with a piece of art I don't really like but think is nonetheless good. It always feels like an important opportunity to think more critically about about art in general and about my own taste.
