Put them in the National League.
Proper Man City fans would follow still in big numbers.
It would increase revenue for every NL club y1 and assuming promotions…L2,L1, Championship as well.
Rangers did it and it made a real difference.
Sport integrity is most important.
🚨 THIS IS NOT JUST ABOUT RELEGATING A FOOTBALL CLUB. THE EFFECT OF A POTENTIAL MAN CITY DEMOTION.
If Manchester City were a mid-table club, would sending them down be easier?
But this is MANCHESTER CITY.
One of the biggest clubs in world football. Hundreds of millions in annual revenue. Global sponsors. A worldwide fanbase. A huge workforce. And a major economic footprint in Manchester and across English football.
Relegating City wouldn’t simply mean 20th place becoming 21st.
It could trigger a chain reaction across the Premier League.
City generated £694.1M in revenue in 2024/25. Take them out of the Premier League, and the consequences could reach broadcasting, sponsorships, matchday revenue, player contracts, recruitment and the club’s entire commercial structure.
Then look at the Premier League itself.
No more City vs United.
No more City vs Liverpool.
No more City vs Arsenal.
No more City vs Chelsea.
Some of the biggest fixtures in English football would disappear from the league calendar.
And the impact wouldn't stop at football.
Manchester has an entire matchday economy built around City: hotels, restaurants, transport, hospitality, security, retail and employment.
This is why the Manchester City case is bigger than one club.
The Premier League has to protect the integrity of its rules.
But if the ultimate punishment is relegation, the consequences could reach far beyond the Etihad.
The question isn't simply what happens to Manchester City.
It's what happens to English football when one of its biggest clubs is removed from the Premier League.
We were rubbish
Not really arsed about the result today.
Absolutely fuming about the performance!

I’d say this chap (a fellow Albion fan by the way!) may wish to read the laws of the game and possibly take this down if he’s fed up of the wolves commenting….

Hearing lots of stuff about the referee today.
I thought he let a lot go and I’m ok with that!
He had to book Molumby for a pull and he had to book Phillips for endangering an opponent…fair enough. Yes other opportunities to book players on both sides but he didn’t…. Good!
Seriously set pieces - absolute joke today by WBA.
When you play a side of Wolves’ quality and in a derby, set pieces can make a real difference.
WTF have they been practicing? #wba
WBA didn’t lay a glove on Wolves, which in a derby is most annoying.
Our keeper was unbelievable.
Soft goal to give away and that’s killed us.
You have to take advantage of set pieces and we had loads of corners but couldn’t cross a road!
😡
Albion fans. Let’s just ignore this evenings news about Jimenez being out for the BCD.
If he is,great, but it just means Armstrong will start!
Also, we all know there’s a chance on Sunday morning, we’ll be reading rumours stating “Jimenez is ok” “Jimenez makes the bench”

Man United to make a change?
Has Unai Emery taken Villa as far as he can?
Club not matching his ambitions?
Will United give him the master keys to Old Trafford that Alex used to have and what he’s currently used to at Villa?
We can dream!
🤣🤣
Law states ‘attempt’
He cleanly attempts to play the ball! He tries to score with a diving header.
Aside from the factual positions of Erling Haaland and Patrick Dorgu, there is a subjective decision too, as Manchester City’s Enzo Fernandez dives towards the ball and it flashes across the goal.
Had he touched it, he would have been offside. He didn’t, but there’s an argument that he affected the ability of Manchester United’s Lisandro Martinez to play the ball by being in his line of vision.
United have a case, but Martinez can see the ball all the way and the evidence would need to be more compelling for VAR to intervene.
On field, it is highly likely that Enzo’s actions were not given much consideration because the assistant was certain Haaland was offside.
As a result, the VAR was being asked to judge whether the officials at Old Trafford had made a clear error, when in reality they had not formed a judgement at all.

How on earth do the VAR team get the Man City goal so wrong???
Makes my blood boil.
The law is clear….
Extract:
challenging an opponent for the ball or
clearly attempting to play a ball which is close when this action impacts on an opponent
OR
Good grief 👇🏻
Tired/poor performance that. Bringing Diakite on knowing how important he will
Be for next week only for him to get a card is stupid from Morrison just leave him he didn’t need to come on… that’s another 2 points dropped at home but in reality it was a tired performance #wba
