We just announced support for RWAs on near.com
It's hard to describe how important this unlock is
One of the biggest pieces of the vision just fell into place: stocks & ETFs
near.com was never meant to be just a crypto app
The vision is one confidential, permisionless account for your entire financial life:
> Crypto
> Stocks
> ETFs
> Bonds
> Perps
> Yield
Onchain. Permissionless. Confidential by design
Where else can you hold and move both traditional and digital assets from a single account without KYC intermediaries, or exposing your entire finances?
This is a major step toward making that vision real
What if your PnL stays private by default, but you can choose exactly how much to reveal, to whom, and when?
Best of both worlds
near.com
Inside every crypto user there are two wolves.
One wants everyone to know their PnL. That's @fomo. The other wants no one to know they exist; that's what @NEARProtocol is for.
Both will win, each by abstracting all of crypto behind a singular interface.
Ondo 🤝 NEAR
Ondo Stocks are now live on near․com and across @near_intents.
Buy and trade NVDAon, TSLAon, AAPLon and more using crypto from 30+ supported chains.
fully unlocked, revenue, hypergrowth
probably nothing
Clean UX, low fees, almost every chain, and confidentiality by default across the entire experience, from swaps and perps to earn
Most products get one or two of these right
near.com is bringing it all
Recently many people discovered near.com and admitted the clean UX. I welcome you all!
The thing that is not noticeable at first sight is the fees. We see all the fees that wallet providers take from users as we’ve built the market leading infra for swaps. For major wallets it’s 70-240 bps only to the provider. near.com is 35 bps right now (for pairs requiring trading), lowest in the market among mid to large sized wallets.
This will change as near.com is adopting to the market. But right now you can get the cheapest multi chain wallet experience. With additional unique proposition of keeping your assets confidential.
The technology that near.com is built on is called Confidential Intents and it’s available to everyone with no volumetric fees on deposits/withdrawals and no fees on holding assets inside the pool. In other words, it’s basically free, and the place where NEAR earns is swaps. We invite other wallet providers to use it and make assets of their users confidential.
You heard the man, head to near.com get set up in a few seconds and experience it firsthand
So I tried $near intents....UI is fucking CLEAN. You you use your device's biometric data or existing passkey as sign in. Set up is literally in seconds then proceed to do swaps or perps as you normally would.
The thing is, people are thinking of $NEAR only as $ZEC beta...and that is indeed one aspect....but the truth is no one actually fucking uses $ZEC and it makes no meaningful revenue.
People ARE using $NEAR intents for private swaps/perps bc you can clearly see the near intents chart going parabolic like @Trader_XO posted this morning. Revenue is going parabolic too.
“importantly, this is PvE and not zero sum. the more markets succeed, the more interesting NEAR becomes, i.e if Solana is one continent, and AI another, and Zcash another, then NEAR is the silk road”
been thinking more on coherent messaging re: NEAR
let's ideate from first principles:
- the product of capitalism is markets
- capitalism -> markets -> competition -> specialization -> fragmentation
- within the specializations, there will be dominant leaders in each category
- SoV: gold, zec, btc
- trading: solana, hyperliquid, robinhood, binance
- currencies: usd, eur, gbp
- and on it goes: ai inference, private compute, real estate, international stocks, metals, e-commerce yada yada
- this requires connective tissue, which has been traditionally served via something like binance
- but one centralized company can not serve this need for infinite markets. there are too many handicaps, lack of network effects, and singular points of risk and stoppage. this is a rare case of decentralization being necessary. neutrality is non-negotiable for unstoppable global trade.
- now, you may see where I'm going and say: well Ethereum and Cosmos already tried this. but that's wrong. what they tried to do was structurally flawed
- those models required the succeeding nodes (L2s and L3s) to be from within the ecosystem, but that is incoherent since i) you can't force success, ii) if one were to succeed, they would just want to own the platform
- the other model is of course the Solana/Hyperliquid model of having everything concentrated on the L1. this model works. however this requires a high-degree of specialization to be competitive. you won't out nasdaq solana.
- but, NEAR does not need to do this. where there is concentration, there is also the need for connection.
- especially with their chain signature architecture, instead of forcing new internal nodes, they can just discover the successful ones and connect them to each other without ideology (see: NEAR intents supporting ZEC but also ZEC on Solana!)
- importantly, this is PvE and not zero sum. the more markets succeed, the more interesting NEAR becomes, i.e if Solana is one continent, and AI another, and Zcash another, then NEAR is the silk road.
so I think the coherent message for NEAR is:
the market of markets — the capital of capital
awesome seeing this kind of feedback on something we’ve been obsessing over
so much goes into making the complicated stuff feel simple
a lot more to come
near.com/
near used to be an L1 when they started off.
they're now an onchain exchange... everything you can do on coinbase/binance, you can do on near dot com. they just route to the best venue/product
incredible product execution.
the more money I have onchain the less interested I am in people knowing which wallets are mine
I still want to talk trades, post some pnl, see what others are doing, that’s why I get the hype around social trading
but sharing a position and letting people track my entire portfolio are two very different things
sometimes I’ll post the trade, sometimes I just want to be some random account nobody knows
that’s what interests me about confidential trading
> deposit confidentially into a fresh account, trade perps undoxed
> withdraw confidentially and have the profits start earning yield
the positions are still public, but who’s behind the account, where the money came from and where it goes doesn’t need to be
I like sharing trades, I just want a say in how much I’m sharing
already possible btw, iykyk
We officially launched Earn on near.com
The idea is simple: earning yield on your USDC shouldn’t stop you from using it.
Now you can earn a nice APY and still use your USDC to pay for things across any network
ok so I've been doing the math and it feels like we have 400 super apps and neobanks now
> i can’t even keep track of them all anymore
> they can all add privacy now
> it works across almost every chain
> it takes like 5 minutes to integrate
probably nothing
