Underneath the overt racism is banter, stereotyping, taking advantage of white privilege, bias and exclusion. We’re all a bit complicit in this, even if we don’t use guns or shout abuse on the streets. We must diminish the platform that holds racism up.

Last year, after a similar outburst from @IzzyFolau, young LGBT+ people told me they felt frightened the bullies in their school would use this as justification for their persecution. Surely not an outcome anyone seeks, regardless of their views? #Folau
