The Milwaukee County Board will soon decide when and how we will rebuild the Public Safety Building. Our justice system matters. Let’s talk about it.

President Trump’s ongoing attempts to relitigate the 2020 election, which he lost, have crossed a line if he is sending FBI agents to the private residence of Milwaukee County’s elections director.
Milwaukee County officials will always cooperate with law enforcement officers and the investigations they are pursuing, but this action raises serious concerns of intimidation.
Regardless of how this situation evolves, the facts are clear: In 2020, election clerks did their jobs. The election was safe and secure. Donald Trump lost the popular vote in Wisconsin.
No amount of fear and intimidation from the Trump administration will change that truth.

Despite playing in the sport’s smallest media market, the Milwaukee Brewers have reached the playoffs in seven of the past eight seasons. Not even baseball’s smartest computer systems saw them coming. on.wsj.com/42QkRLS

President Trump’s war in Iran is driving up gas prices for Wisconsinites, but the damage doesn't stop at the pump. Rising fuel costs also put strain on the essential services that taxpayers rely on, pushing local governments across the state toward growing budget deficits.
Wisconsin taxpayers should not be forced to bear the burden of decisions being made in Washington. My administration is working to reduce fuel use wherever we can without impacting service delivery, but that alone is not enough.
President Trump must take this crisis seriously and address rising gas prices before working families and the governments that serve them are left holding the bill. urbanmilwaukee.com/2026/05/0…
🎂 Join me in wishing @milwaukeecozoo a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
On Jan. 16, 1892, the zoo opened in Washington Park, displaying small mammals and birds.
Today, more than 1.1M guests enjoy seeing 2,200+ animals in our zoo every year, creating about $156M in economic impact.
If your holiday break itinerary didn’t take you to the Milwaukee County Zoo, I strongly recommend making early 2026 plans to check out the new rhino and hippo habitat. It looks awesome. 🦏 🦛

It’s time for the culture of fare evasion on Milwaukee County buses to end. Grateful for Supervisors Eckblad, Vincent, Logsdon and Capriolo for co-sponsoring this step forward to a more financially sustainable bus system that we can rely on.
Happy Memorial Day weekend. Grateful to join today’s @WarMemorialCntr Field of Flags ceremony. As far as the eye can see, more than 27,000 flags were planted to remember the Wisconsinites lost in conflict. If you have a moment, walk through it. 🇺🇸

At the @WisCounties annual meeting, @GovEvers says his legislative priorities are child care, supporting the UW-System and public schools, affordable housing, and additional revisions to the shared revenue formula funding counties and cities.
Grateful to join Sup. Jack Eckblad, @MayorMKE and many others at today’s Milwaukee County ceremony to remember 9/11 - and the bravery that first responders and everyday Americans displayed. On display today was a beam from one of the twin towers, a surreal reminder of what was.
