Ultimate Happiness by @prathoshap
1. Frugality is freedom from unnecessary wants, not inability to afford luxuries.
2. The less you depend on external things for happiness, greater your inner freedom.
3. Own things; never let things own you.
4. Wealth is a means to live well, not a purpose to live for.
World needs more teachers like him 🙏❤️
.@JioCare the worst customer care I have experienced. Router fixed on 22nd of October. No internet from the time of installation. Automatic rescheduling of service appointments when I am waiting at home for the issue to be rectified! Service engineer who came incompetent.
Multiple calls on the 18008969999 number. Lots of assurances. NO ACTION. The My JIO app is so tacky! Does not give proper information. Now I got a call saying someone will come in the afternoon. RIDICULOUS!
The kind of education I wish every young person could get.

People either overestimate the Śāstras as modern physics or dismiss them as dogma.
Here is my balanced take on how to navigate them via a rigorous dependency graph of formal grammar, epistemology, logic & peer-reviewed debate, being a student for more than 2 decades.

Hanuman Ansh is the most magnificent example of Aucitya - The Hindu theory of aesthetics and appropriateness.
@filmervishal ji gave our generation the grammar of 'mahima' back in the age of nihilism.
An opportunity to learn from him that intersection of the sacrality and creativity. This should permeate into every dimension from products to transmedia to cultural experiences to policy.
That is why we look at Aucitya as a paradigmatic core at @brhat_in
Join us to cogitate on this at the iconic BORI, Pune on October 16th.

A film is a visual and cultural product, shaped by its characters, costumes, symbols, language, music and the world it creates.
What makes each of these choices appropriate in the context of visual storytelling? This is where Aucitya becomes important. The principle asks us to consider the relationship between form, context, character, purpose and experience, helping a filmmaker discern what is appropriate to show and how it should be expressed.
At the Pune edition, filmmaker Vishal Chaturvedi @filmervishal, director of the hugely successful Hanuman Ansh, explores Aucitya in creative industries and what this Indic principle can offer in the contemporary filmmaking and creative practice.
Join us to explore how cultural intelligence can shape better creative choices.

"We must return to what humans were designed to do. We care. We love. We empathise. We build communities." Educators everywhere need to reflect on what we are being called upon to do. Urgently...and Act NOW. Get our heads out of the sand. Thank you for this @prathoshap ji.
I have been very concerned about the tiny plastic bindis we use and throw. Convenient but where do they go? Will they ever be recycled? What effect does the plastic piece stuck on my forehead have, if any? I shifted to regular kumkum made of turmeric. There's something about it!
Nice. Interesting.
"Mammai Devi temple offers clues to Telangana’s ancient iron trade"
"The four-armed deity holds weapons in her upper hands, while the lower right hand is in Abhaya Mudra, symbolising protection and fearlessness"
"KARIMNAGAR: Between the villages of Peddakalvala and Chinnakalvala lies a temple that holds clues to Telangana’s ancient iron industry. Dedicated to Mammai Devi, the deity of the Vishwakarma community, the temple houses stone sculptures believed to date to the 16th or 17th century and stands in a region with traces of a once-thriving iron trade"
"According to researcher Karipe Raj Kumar, currently deputy director in the Audit department, the goddess is depicted seated, with Nandi and a Shiva Lingam carved on the upper right and the sun and moon on the upper left. Lord Ganesha and Hanuman are depicted in the middle portion"
"Annual festivities are held for a week from Ugadi, when members of the Vishwakarma community place their traditional tools and implements before the deity and perform special prayers"
"Mammai temples are predominantly found in regions where iron and steel industries flourished in ancient times."

NITI Aayog, in collaboration with the United Nations in India, convened a high-level roundtable on “Regenerative Development: India’s Civilisational Foundations for a Framework Beyond Sustainability” to deliberate on India’s perspectives on the post-2030 development framework and its potential contribution to the global development agenda.
The roundtable brought together representatives from Government, the United Nations and partner organisations, academia, civil society, philanthropy and development practitioners to reflect on the experience of implementing the SDGs and the development framework needed beyond 2030.
Discussions focused on how regenerative development, drawing on India’s civilisational foundations and contemporary development experience, can inform the emerging post-2030 architecture. Key areas included equity and inclusion, resilience, sustainability, beyond-GDP approaches, localisation and community ownership, financing and means of implementation, and the design of goals, targets and indicators.
The deliberations will inform further work on India’s perspectives on the post-2030 development framework, including areas for further research, documentation of relevant Indian experiences, and continued engagement with stakeholders and the UN system.
NITI Aayog thanks all participants for their valuable contributions to the discussion.
