We’re honored to be featured in the @NewYorker in a story exploring presbyopia, myopia and how our vision changes as we age. The story takes readers inside our clinics and research labs, featuring Dr. Marina Su, Dr. Xiaoying Zhu and our research work in vision science.
Presbyopia is technically an eye disorder, but one that everyone past the age of 45 contracts. Globally, people are living, and therefore aging, longer. There are thus more presbyopes than ever before. By 2030, some 2.1 billion people will be afflicted by middle-aged eyeballs. That doesn’t make aging any easier. Read about E.
