What a gem of a day hosted by SUN in their Springburn space. This workers monument is a powerful beacon of solidarity for all who live in Springburn and this celebration of repairs was absolutely bursting with joy.

Another busy two-hour advice surgery in Springburn today.
It was also great to see restoration work underway on the magnificent drinking fountain that was first commissioned in 1902 to celebrate the 21st anniversary of Cowlairs Co-operative Society. Well done @msmandymcintosh!🤝🏻

ALT The Cowlairs Co-operative Society Fountain was moved from Springburn Cross at Vulcan Street to the new Shopping Centre in 1981. The Shopping Centre was opened in September 1983 by Lord Provost, Michael Kelly.

I've been sitting in on these sessions and learning a lot about life experiences for those involved. The group is run by and for those exposed to the precarity and hardship of being a refugee.
On January 21, 2024 (Sunday), we successfully facilitated the Refugee Community Consultation Event, working in partnership with the The @scotgov, @scotrefcouncil and @COSLA. A total of 16 participants from a diverse group, ages 15 to 65, from refugee and migrant backgrounds ⬇️
