We really need to have a discussion about how much work SIDs do, what they’re responsible for/get asked to do beyond their job description, and how much their administrations disregard/seem to actively despise them anyways

I want to be clear: I loved being an SID. The relationships that I built and the experiences that I had were all incredibly fulfilling, and I truly gave my all to the job. I would never want to knock down other SIDs - everyone’s work ought to be celebrated.

Shoving the home radio crew from the court up to the concourse is consistent with the erosion of respect for media pros shown by OU (and plenty of other Division I schools) in recent years. It's much harder to do your job from that distance but those in charge don't care.
