Help is desperately needed for the Children of Gaza and the people of Rafah who are being moved to what are essentially internment camps of human neglect and suffering. Die in the desert or in your home. That is the choice given to Palestinians today. unicef.org/press-releases/wh…

When two-thirds of the people killed in Gaza are women and children, when you block humanitarian aid, you’re not just going after Hamas. You’re going after the entire Palestinian people.

I repeat: hospitals must be respected and protected; they must not be used as battlefields.

No. Sorry. They are not “collateral damage” they are human beings who happen to have been born there and live there and most of those human beings are stuck there. Have some compassion, they are Palestinians not buildings or roads or things, they are human beings and so are the hostages whose lives you may also be destroying. They aren’t “collateral damage” either.

UNICEF continues to call for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, unrestricted humanitarian access across Gaza, and immediate and safe release of all abducted children.

.@WHO has managed to get in touch with health professionals at the Al-Shifa hospital in #Gaza.
The situation is dire and perilous.
It's been 3 days without electricity, without water and with very poor internet which has severely impacted our ability to provide essential care.
The constant gunfire and bombings in the area have exacerbated the already critical circumstances.
Tragically, the number of patient fatalities has increased significantly.
Regrettably, the hospital is not functioning as a hospital anymore.
The world cannot stand silent while hospitals, which should be safe havens, are transformed into scenes of death, devastation, and despair.
Ceasefire. NOW.

Israel just bombed the Baptist Hospital killing 500 Palestinians (doctors, children, patients) just like that.
@POTUS this is what happens when you refuse to facilitate a ceasefire & help de-escalate.
Your war and destruction only approach has opened my eyes and many Palestinian Americans and Muslims Americans like me. We will remember where you stood.

UNICEF spokesperson James Elder said “Hundreds & hundreds of children have been killed and injured. Every hour in Gaza the number of children killed rises. The killing of children must stop. The images and stories are clear: children with horrendous burns, mortar wounds, and lost limbs. And hospitals are utterly overwhelmed to treat them. Yet the numbers keep rising. Israeli children being held hostage in Gaza must be safely and immediately reunited with their families and loved ones.
Children and families in Gaza have practically run out of food, water, electricity, medicine and safe access to hospitals, following days of air strikes and cuts to all supply routes. Gaza’s sole power plant ran out of fuel Wednesday afternoon, shutting down electricity, water and wastewater treatment. Most residents can no long get drinking water from service providers or household water through pipelines.
In every war, the ones who suffer the most are children. This is tragically true today.”

Routine breast cancer screening is vital to early detection. The earlier it is detected, the more treatment options there are and the better the prognosis.
