Ah, the future of financial privacy, where a central entity gets to decide at-will if you deserve privacy or not! Pretty hilarious crippling of Tornado Cash by Ethereum folks, very solarpunk in so many ways. BTW, #FreeRoman ✊

ETH holders, head to privacypools.com and deposit up to 1 ETH If your funds pass our wallet screening, they can be withdrawn privately 🥷 If we don’t approve your funds, you can still withdraw back to your original wallet, making Privacy Pools a non-custodial system 🔐

just used this to convert some ETH into SOL, pretty cool the folks at NEAR built a cross-chain swap for SOL — powered by intents non-centralized and open source, would recommend

The difference between the US and Japan with respect to building things is nuts In Tokyo near my house they build shit constantly. Something gets a sign out front, it's torn down in a couple of days, then two months later there's a finished new building Meanwhile in Cupertino right across the street from Apple HQ, surrounded by $3M houses, there was a giant smoldering bum-filled crater for ten years since the residents made it impossible to build anything there

Silent Payments are a massively underrated UX improvement for Bitcoin. The standard should be Silent Payments for all on-chain payments and BOLT 12 for all Lightning payments, unified by Bitcoin usernames (a la BIP 353). Combined these are game changers.
Basically a better address type for Bitcoin all around. ✅ Impossible to reuse addresses on-chain ✅ Actually useful for wallet contacts ✅ Share once with anyone and can always get paid without address re-use ✅ Extremely powerful when combined with BIP 353 usernames, which don't work at all with normal on-chain addresses. ❌ No need to deal with gap limits, confusing new addresses each time, etc (things were used to as Bitcoiners but are off-putting to new users) It's different than LNURL, especially in that you don't need to run a server or trust a third-party to use it, and is obviously for on-chain instead of LN. More comparable for LN is BOLT 12, FWIW.

I'M SHOCKED. After living in Japan for over two years, I recently visited the USA with my wife. It made me realize that the USA is dysfunctional in so many ways and has such a low-quality standard across the board. Here are the things I noticed:

What the fuck are we doing? I see people backing 100% traceable DeFi, pro-censorship movements, and UI blocking. Let me be crystal clear: I will *never* become a puppet for some fucking clown governments pushing their agenda. As long as I’m around, I'll fight for privacy-first and censorship-resistant DeFi. Use a fucking VPN. Use Tornado Cash. Use permissionless protocols. Use your own local UI.
