ALT Our mandate is to build understanding about human rights. • Our new exhibit focuses on the lived experiences of Palestinian Canadians and the human rights impacts of forced displacement that they have faced over generations. It opens to the public on June 27. • This exhibit has been in development for more than four years, and was initiated after we identified that Palestinian Canadian voices were underrepresented in our galleries.

ALT Palestinian Canadian stories • Building an understanding of the personal stories and experiences of Palestinian Canadians is squarely within our mandate. These stories have a place in this museum. • Focusing this one exhibit on the human rights violations faced by Palestinian Canadians does not negate the human rights violations faced by Jewish people or the devasting effects of antisemitism being faced today.

ALT We stand behind our curatorial process. • Our curatorial process is consistent, thorough, independent, and led by professionals with many years of experience. Concerns about “foreign interference” are unfounded. • 186 dignitaries and government representatives from 46 countries have visited over the past two years. As a public institution, it is part of our responsibility to promote Canadian heritage and values. • We regularly receive opinions and feedback about content, however we always exercise curatorial independence.
