We recently produced a vidcast for the School of Languages & Cultures @sheffielduni in collaboration with @r9studiosuk 😊 It looks at how foreign languages feature in James Bond’s universe, specifically in Casino Royale (1953) 😎🍸💋 Full video here 👉🏻 sheffield.ac.uk/slc/news/for… – at Sheffield, England

for everyone discovering caption advocacy, this is a paper I did about rethinking caption design. We could do so much if captions were more than an afterthought!
Because I’m doing a project about accessibility, I‘m conscious of how many financial, physical, and educational barriers exist in academia. With that in mind, I wanna share some ideas from my conference paper here, where there are many people impacted by this research.

Thanks to cross-border hits like 'Squid Game,' the global subtitling industry is busier than ever, but the vast quantity of new programs has led to harsh deadlines and reduced wages: "There is a lot more work but the prices are going down" thr.cm/rwses9n

We couldn't agree with this more! Also, the more #venues plan their #access, the more promotion a performance or event gets, translating to more bums on seats. #access #livesubtitles #captions – at Lewisham, London

A fantastic project using #creativecaptioning & #audiodescription to enhance access to theatre. With all kinds of techniques I have imagined and more. Would hearing/non-blind audiences accept this kind of #subtitling for foreign films? #creativesubtitling youtu.be/MjEo3UL_Zl4

Dear #gamedev/#indiedev, please take this image as a call to action. Tiny text is the #accessibility issue I see complained about more than any other, and it's getting worse. There are now legal requirements for it too (CVAA). Please consider sensible defaults & scaleable text.
