We're about to launch Subnet.ai — we’re building the default research layer for Bittensor subnets: one place to understand what a subnet does (without hopping across @discord / @telegram / @github / @taostats, and to bring trust + transparency to the forefront so more people can confidently swap $TAO for alpha and support the next generation of builders. We’re not trying to be “another exchange”. We’re trying to be the reason you back a subnet because you believe in them. So what can you do on Subnet.ai? Scan the Hero section for the quick “what is this + does it make money?”, spot badges (traction / milestones / credibility), read a clean overview, check price/performance metrics, and connect wallets (@wearetalisman / @subwalletapp /@Polkadot ) to swap $TAO to alpha, send tokens, and stake to validators. Dig deeper into team + experience, roadmap, treasury & emissions, VC raises, and coldkey to exchange transfers; plus track media coverage (credibility) with brand mentions and way more coming soon. We’re in beta so rip it apart on any device, drop feedback here or email [email protected], and if you want to help us grow, we’d love to hear from you.

And community notes. Wrong fact on a subnet page? Flag it with evidence and it goes straight to the team. Everything here is live at subnet.ai.

Then the history layer. Subnet ownership is tracked like a title history. Past eras like SN5's OpenKaito get their own frozen pages. And a pre-dTAO archive reconstructs the network before the Feb 2025 cutover, owner lineage included.

Explore is now a research tool. Filter by whale risk, verified partnerships, company ownership, or estimated role emissions. Group the whole table by company. Filters live in the URL, so any view is shareable.

Discovery got an upgrade. Validators are grouped by operator, with APY and earnings per coldkey. The accounts page is a searchable coldkey leaderboard. One search box covers subnets, validators and wallets, and wallet lookups only fire on valid SS58 addresses.

The homepage is built for investors now. Lifetime emissions in USD, company earnings front and center, and a protocol health strip with whale concentration and revenue signals. Every number is live data from dTAO start (Feb 13th 2025) until present day.

We shipped a lot of Bittensor this summer. Here's what's live on Subnet.ai right now.

Our new features let you dig so deep into a subnet, you will end up looking like this.

Gradients (@gradients_ai) lets anyone train an image or text AI model with a few clicks, no machine-learning knowledge required. You pick a model and a dataset, and @bittensor miners on SN56 do the training for you. Results are monitored on the platform, with deeper detail through Weights & Biases, and finished models are usable via @huggingface. There's a simple UI for beginners and an API for developers who want to train programmatically. By the numbers: – 15 active validators, 7 active miners – Total emissions to subnet: $39M (145K TAO) – Holders: 4,733 – Registered Nov 21, 2024 Full breakdown → subnet.ai/subnet/56

The new emission formula is rewarding active subnets and a few of them are pulling ahead fast. Three of the biggest emission earners since the change: Albedo (SN97) on 3.81% emissions right now $2.3M all-time (current CK) subnet emissions 2 active validators and 5 active miners @affine_io (SN120) on 2.32% emissions right now $47.2M all-time subnet emissions 6 active validators and 5 active miners @chutes_ai (SN64) on 2.26% emissions right now $113M all-time subnet emissions 12 active validators and 15 active miners
The latest Bittensor emission change is working exactly as intended. Until recently, emissions were based on an EMA of net bittensor:native flow. Now it's: Price EMA * root prop * (1-miner burn) This gives a boost to newer subnets who are fully engaged with the network and already have positive market support The visual below shows all subnets, sorted by current TAO emissions. Left chart is emissions before the changes (orange bars) and since the changes (blue bars) Second chart shows the price of each subnet from lowest market price to highest market price Third chart is root proportion (0-100%) Fourth chart is miner burn (0-100%) It's easy to see how the factors are now directing TAO emissions

Subnet Risk Rate check 1. @hippius_subnet — 28.3% risk rate. Top 10 whales including validators hold 49.5% of alpha. Learn more about the risk rate of subnet 75 here: subnet.ai/subnet/75 2. @qBitTensorLabs — 38.2% risk rate. Top 10 whales including validators hold 50.3% of alpha. Learn more about the risk rate of SN63 here: subnet.ai/subnet/63 3. @almanac_market — 17% risk rate. Top 10 whales including validators hold 39.6% of alpha. Learn more about the risk rate of SN41 here: subnet.ai/subnet/41 Risk = top-holder concentration relative to total supply. Higher % = more centralized whale control.
