🔊To those asking, “How can we help Afghan women?”
First, share their voices. In a time when even speaking puts women at risk, being heard means hope, visibility, and survival.
Second, support our online education program. Despite fear and restrictions, Afghan girls are secretly continuing their studies. You can help by sponsoring internet access so students can attend online classes, or by volunteering as a teacher and sharing your knowledge with girls who have been denied education.
Third, support food aid for widows and women living alone who have no male provider in the household and are often too afraid to go outside.

IHere's what Pres.Trump has done for Vladimir Putin since 2017:
🇺🇸➡️🇷🇺 First term
1Stood next to Putin in Helsinki and took his word over U.S. intelligence
2Lobbied to bring Russia back into the G7
3Withheld military aid from Ukraine to squeeze Zelensky (impeachment #1)
4Pulled out of Syria, handing Russia a freer hand
5Openly questioned NATO's mutual-defense pledge
6Lifted sanctions on Deripaska-linked companies, including Rusal
7Walked away from the INF nuclear treaty
8Walked away from the Open Skies treaty, leaving our European allies with less visibility
🇺🇸➡️🇷🇺 Second term
9. Called Russia's G7 expulsion a "mistake"
10. Declared Moscow "holds all the cards"
11. Opened talks with Russia with zero preconditions
12. Berated Zelensky in the Oval Office, then paused aid and intel to Ukraine
13. Halted offensive cyber operations against Russia
14. Had the U.S. vote WITH Russia against a UN resolution condemning the invasion
15. Said "Crimea will stay with Russia"
16. Rolled out the red carpet for Putin in Alaska
17. Pressed Ukraine, not Russia, to give up territory
18. Starshield
19. Diesel
20. Revoke Graham sanctions
That's not "America First."
You could never make that list of things a President has done for Zelensky, or for NATO. Ask yourself why.
Russia knows whose side Trump is on. Its not Ukraine and it's not the USA.
Donald Trump says the Russian sanctions waiver is to help negotiate peace. But one Russian paper today writes: “We will make a deal with Ukraine entirely on our terms.” Another paper: “Russia’s borders, as we know, do not end anywhere.” #ReadingRussia
About time!
BREAKING: BETRAYAL! Trump’s Russia sanctions waiver is so DANGEROUS that even the Murdoch media empire is turning against him.
When the multi-tentacled right-wing propaganda machine that is the Murdoch family empire is calling you out for cozying up to the condemnable Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, you may have finally gone too far.
The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board just unloaded on Donald Trump for waiving tariffs and sanctions on Russia that were enacted in a law that passed the Senate 86-11. That law gave Trump 30 days to impose tariffs of up to 500 percent on Russian imports, plus duties of up to 100 percent on major buyers of Russian oil and gas, including China and India.
More tariffs? Who could imagine that Trump would ever object to a law that gave him MORE tariff power?
Trump, however, signed an executive order two days before the new law took effect, nullifying the punitive tariffs instead. The executive order also suspends sanctions on Russian officials, state bodies, banks, energy companies, and the ships Moscow uses to dodge restrictions. Trump’s only explanation for the move was that he believes that it’s in the “national interests” of the United States.
We could think of a few more possible reasons, including keeping Putin happy enough to prevent him from releasing the rumored “kompromat” he has been compiling on the American president for decades, and the potential business deals for Russian natural resources that could enrich Trump and his family immensely.
The Journal wasn’t buying Trump’s excuses either. “The opposite is true,” the editorial said. It accused Trump of sticking “a shiv in the back” of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s legacy, and said Trump is now “Mr. Putin’s best friend in the world, after perhaps China’s Xi Jinping.”
Reality delivered its own verdict almost immediately. Russia launched one of its largest attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, hitting more than 15 power generation and transmission facilities, just days after Trump announced an “energy ceasefire.” The Journal says Ukraine honored the pause until it was clear Russia hadn’t, yet Trump kept blaming Kyiv. Afterward, Trump said he believed Putin was willing to make a peace deal while questioning whether Zelensky was.
Zelensky said the decision “definitely helps only the Russians. It only fuels their satisfaction and their desire to keep killing people.” Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who helped write the law, said Trump “stands on the side of a bloodthirsty thug & the enablers of Russia’s war machine.”
The Journal argued that “Trump wants Ukraine to surrender on Mr. Putin’s terms.” Meanwhile, Trump has sharply cut military aid to Ukraine, and envoy Steve Witkoff has made at least two trips to Moscow in the past year. The Journal said Trump has been “courting Mr. Putin” but “to no avail.”
The Journal’s editorial board issued a stark warning for Congress: after the Nov. 3 election, there needs to be “a bipartisan reckoning” over Trump’s “budding alliance with the Kremlin.” We say, why wait?
When Fox News’s corporate cousins are demanding accountability, the question becomes how long Republicans in Congress can stay quiet and — even more crucially — can the Trump administration survive without the support of the media behemoth that led to its initial success at the polls.
Please like and share to delight in the sight of Trump being abandoned by his media allies!
When you scratch the surface.....
EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph.
The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries.
‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement.
But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe.
The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown.
‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.

A Sky News journalist asked Zelensky the obvious, as to whether Trump was attempting to make him a “scapegoat” for his own disastrous situation, including low poll numbers, high diesel prices and the war in the Middle East.
The president paused, then smiled and replied: “That is my answer.”

Nigel Farage’s record of voting in the Commons is continuing a pattern he established in the European Parliament. It’s very disappointing, particularly for those of us who supported him back in the day.
His EP voting record (as an MEP 1999-2020) was:
- between 2014-16 he participated in just 40.7% of roll-call votes → ranked 745th out of 746 MEPs (the worst active MEP in the Parliament).
- His 2014-19 plenary attendance was just 61.4% (in the top 7 worst MEPs)
In the House of Commons, Nigel is ranked 595th out of 650 MPs (9th percentile) in terms of the votes he’s participated in since the General Election.
That’s just the record.
He’s good at drawing attention to himself but rather less keen on the unglamorous, routine but vital work of Parliament - or anything else - when it is not necessarily all about him.
It’s disappointing.

British Royal Navy reconnaissance drones containing Chinese components secretly transmitted data to China – Telegraph
It was discovered that the cameras on "K3 Scout" naval drones used by British elite special forces contained Chinese components that secretly transmitted data to China.
The cameras sent so-called "heartbeat signals"—data confirming they were online and operational—to an IP address in China.
The UK Ministry of Defence has completely disconnected the cameras from the internet and stated that there has been no evidence of classified data leakage or system failures.
The source noted that preparations for British operations in the Persian Gulf had involved these drones, adding: "This is a serious failure in vetting the origin of components, and we have lost confidence in this platform."
There are also concerns that the surveillance drones were present near highly classified meetings involving special forces leadership, with the cameras remaining active even when the drones were ostensibly powered down. 🫣🫣🫣

From an England fan, your national team, your fans (wow such amazing fans), have inspired nations.
Before yesterday’s game I was supporting both England and Norway throughout the tournament and whilst of course I wanted an England win I seriously would have been ok if we lost the match to Norway. I wouldn’t be ok with losing to any other team.
So it’s my hope now that England go on to win the World Cup not only because it’s my home nation, but because the only other team worthy of winning is/was Norway. I hope we do it for England for Norway.
Thank you to your national team, your fans - you’ve all played your part in inspiring nations around the world 🇳🇴❤️🤍💙
We would expect no less.

Seeing some of the embarrassingly hateful reactions to Starmer's resignation today, I thought it was worth resharing this.
The level of personal hostility directed at Keir Starmer deserves scrutiny in its own right. Not because he should be immune from criticism, but because the tone and intensity of the attacks tell us something unhealthy about the state of democratic politics.
Starmer is a conventional political figure. Cautious, legalistic, incremental. He frustrates people precisely because he is managerial rather than messianic. Yet the reaction to him often goes far beyond disagreement, tipping into visceral hatred more commonly reserved for authoritarians or demagogues.
Much of this hostility is disconnected from concrete policy. It is not about specific votes, proposals or outcomes, but about projection. A belief that Starmer embodies betrayal, bad faith or hidden malice. That kind of politics runs on suspicion rather than evidence.
This matters because democracy depends on the assumption of good faith among opponents. You can think a leader is wrong, timid, or misguided without believing they are fundamentally illegitimate. Once politics becomes moralised to the point of demonisation, compromise is reframed as treachery and pluralism as weakness.
The pattern is familiar. In fragmented, polarised systems, anger concentrates not on extremists, whose intentions are clear, but on moderates, who disappoint maximalists on all sides. The centre becomes the lightning rod precisely because it resists totalising narratives.
There is also a media and online dynamic at work. Incentives reward outrage, not proportionality. Algorithms favour contempt over analysis. Over time, this creates a political culture in which relentless personal attack feels normal, even virtuous, rather than disgusting.
None of this is a defence of Starmer’s decisions, instincts or record. Those should be argued over robustly as you do in a democracy. The problem is the substitution of critique with hostility and the quiet erosion of democratic norms that follows when political opponents are treated as enemies rather than rivals.
A democracy cannot function if every election is framed as an existential struggle against internal evil. At some point, the target may change, but the damage to trust, restraint and culture remains.

Absolutely, especially when the voices of the noisy hateful few are amplified through social media.
