"First and foremost, I'm just full of pride and so proud of the players for their attitude and application and how hard they've worked."
Here's what manager Gavin Cowan had to say to @BBCShropSport after Shrewsbury's 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers ⤵️

No shortage of drama at the Meadow and a hard-earned 1-0 victory for #salop over Bristol Rovers. After 68 games without a Football League penalty for Town, George Lloyd stuck it away well. Great effort by Shrewsbury to see the game out after those two red cards. – at Shrewsbury, England

Incredibly sad news. Thoughts are with Doug Loft's family and friends.

So very sorry to hear this. Had the pleasure of getting to know Martin when he was a regular in the Shrewsbury Town Press Box. He was always such great company and I have so many good memories of a lovely man. My thoughts are with his family, friends and all at Whitchurch Alport.
CLUB NEWS- MARTIN WILD🥹
This is by far the hardest thing I’ve had to share on the club socials but we’re beyond devastated and heartbroken to share the news of the unexpected passing of club legend @Wildym48 who passed away suddenly yesterday afternoon. No words can sum up what this gentleman meant to everyone at the club, not just as a superb media manager but also a true friend and gentleman. We’re numb at this news and our thoughts and condolences go out to his wife Jeanette and the rest of martins family. May you rest in peace my brother xx

An excellent win for Shrewsbury here at Grimsby, always renowned as such a tough place to visit. This #salop team continues to improve. Great resilience to see game out after Grimsby cut the deficit. Kian McMahon-Brown's availability - and overall performance - a real bonus. – at Grimsby, England
Bonus for #salop to be able to include Kian McMahon-Brown in the starting XI at Grimsby, with Josh Ruffels back from injury.
Former Shrewsbury loanee Iwan Morgan on the bench for Grimsby.

Shrewsbury without a win here since 2005 when Jake Sedgemore scored the only goal of the game. Can they end that run against the Mariners today?

Congratulations to Shropshire's @EdBarn95, leading Warwickshire to the County Championship title in his first season as captain at Edgbaston 👏👏👏
As a youngster growing up in Essex, Gavin Cowan used to watch Colchester at their old Layer Road ground. The #salop manager today will be hoping to take League Two points off them here at the Meadow. I'm alongside @JamieT23X for Sport on Saturday at @BBCShropSport from 2pm. – at Shrewsbury, England
Colchester at the Meadow today. Brings back memories of them being #salop's first opponents in a competitive game at Oteley Road, a League Cup tie in 2007, after moving from Gay Meadow. Darran Kempson headed Town's winner and Ryan Esson saved a penalty. Who was there that night? – at Shrewsbury, England
