Fallout: New Vegas just got a huge visual upgrade thanks to a new RTX Remix mod from Kim2091.
The New Vegas RTX project is now playable in a work-in-progress state, bringing full path tracing to the Mojave.
The mod adds:
- Full path-traced lighting and reflections with realistic light bouncing and softer shadows
- Path-traced sun, moon, fires, neon signs, and muzzle flashes
- Path-traced Pip-Boy flashlight
- A physically based sky with clouds, atmosphere, stars, and moon
- Path-traced water with waves, reflections, and caustics
- Support for DLSS, FSR, and XeSS
- NVIDIA Reflex and DLSS Ray Reconstruction/Frame Generation support
Despite the RTX name, the mod isn’t limited to NVIDIA hardware; the creator says it also works with AMD RX 6000+ and desktop Intel Arc GPUs.
I’ve always viewed an expensive PC as an investment, much like a car. Since getting my first one at 15, I’ve believed it should be more than a gaming machine. A PC gives you the tools to learn valuable skills, build something and create opportunities to make money. I think owning one should motivate you to take advantage of opportunities and potentially make the hobby pay for itself.
I need PC gamers to at least acknowledge that ONE COMPONENT in your build is already a Switch 2 and a couple of games.
Not everyone’s got a few grand laying around for a build, speaking as someone who’s just built two of these things for me and the wife.

This compares a premium high-end RX 9070 XT GPU (~$780 retail, MSRP $599) to the full $500 Nintendo Switch 2 console price. Capable entry/mid-range gaming PCs use far cheaper GPUs and total similar or lower costs than high-end console setups.

The troubleshooting has got to be the worst thing about owning a PC. This shit ain't for the weak 😭😭
I may or may not be MIA for a few days. Power supply I bought (corsair sf1000) has comically short cables. May need to order another sfx psu.

Hey all,
The loudest people about AI have no fucking clue what they’re talking about.
This allows AI agents with access to your PC change NVIDIA settings.
AKA, if you don’t know what this setting is, you have nothing to worry about.
Thanks.
