Two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, news of freedom finally reached the last enslaved African Americans on June 19, 1865. Today, Juneteenth serves as a reminder that even after the ink dries, the pursuit of equality is ongoing!
As a Black-owned studio, we recognize that the animation industry thrives when Black talent is invited in, empowered, and given the room to bloom. True equity in storytelling means creating space where EVERYONE can thrive.
So we’re proud to work alongside Black artists and allies who help realize this vision when training the next generation of innovative Black storytellers pushing the medium forward.
