The lines here aren't drawn.
750 agents crawl the composite, steer along its own edges and leave trails, sampling their colour from the collage at high saturation. Same seed, same organism. It's a simulation, not a brush.

If we want to continue progress in science, we must be prepared to acknowledge that the correct description of nature will eventually simply be too complicated for humans to understand. I do not think it is wise to make human understanding a requirement. AI is the way forward.
Nineteen versions, one change each.
Blend modes. Chroma edges. Glitch. Procedural masks. Physarum. It only got interesting around v9, when I stopped hand-placing layers and let the system decide where they land.
Glitch that reads as deliberate, not broken.
All of it — JPEG re-encode, pixel sort, dither, datamosh — is confined to the masked layers, light to medium. The base photograph is never touched. The constraint is the whole trick.
Nineteen versions of one collage.
A gull photograph, three masked colour layers holding an exact coverage alpha, a physarum network grown along the collage's own edges, a pattern overlay rotated in 90° steps, 2% grain.
The line work is grown, not drawn.
