Narcissistic parents firmly believe their actions are entirely justified; their unadulterated arrogance makes them completely blind to the fact that they are committing severe emotional child abuse.
If you've survived narcissistic abuse, you've survived one of the biggest forms of trauma known to mankind.
Be kind to yourself. 🙏🏼

Coercive control is designed to be invisible because its ultimate weapon is isolation, making the victim doubt their own eyes and ears while appearing perfectly normal to everyone else.

3 myths about false allegations: 'where there's smoke there's fire,' 'they hardly ever happen,' and 'nobody has anything to gain by lying.'
All three are wrong. Workshop Two is 2 days away.

Why Didn't You Just Leave Them isn't a question I answer once. It's the question I wrote an entire book around, because every man who's heard it asked of him already knows it's the wrong question.
I lived this myself. I know what it's like to sit across from someone and try to explain why you didn't just walk out the door, and watch their face tell you they don't believe there's a real answer. There is. It's just not simple, and it's not something anyone fully understands until they've lived inside it.
This book exists because misconceptions about abusive relationships are everywhere, and they leave survivors suffering in silence instead of getting the understanding they need.
Can't have been that bad if you stayed.
Why didn't you tell anyone?
You must like it.
Aren't you overreacting?
I'd never put up with that.
Every one of those questions is wrong, and every one of them keeps someone quiet who needed to speak.
I wrote this from my own experience as a male survivor, because when I went looking for something that spoke to what I'd been through, most of what existed didn't include men at all. This book dismantles the myths, and walks through the psychological and emotional manipulation that actually traps people, whoever they are.
Here's some of what readers have said:
'I'm nearly 3 years out of a narcissistic DV relationship. This is essential reading. Validated everything I experienced and that I was an abuse victim. Thank you for writing this.'
'This is one of the best books I've read on the subject, and its conciseness is a big plus. If you want to help yourself and others understand the incomprehensible hell of NPD abuse, I highly recommend Jared's book.'
'I found this resource to be all inclusive and a very insightful read.'
If you've ever been asked why you didn't just leave, or you love someone who has, this book is for you.
You're not broken. You're not alone. And your story matters.

Note that these toxic traits from weaponizing children against a parent can persist well into adulthood, sometimes for life. The psychological effects of turning children against half of who they are is incalculable, but always leads to self-harming.

A new voice has arrived in the family courts, the voice of the now-adult survivor of psychological child abuse. The type of psychological abuse is childhood identity capture by a pathological parent.

False accusers should be jailed. You cannot falsely accuse someone and expect to walk free. Do you know how abusive it is to ruin someone's reputation and life ? Do you know how many people have died from heart attack due to false allegations? Why should they walk free?
