It is so important to recognise that we are all made differently, with each of us made in the image of God. To mark Dyslexia Awareness Week, it was a pleasure to sit down with the @ChurchTimes and discuss my dyslexia diagnosis, and how it has shaped my work and ministry: soundcloud.com/user-63206301…

Today in Accra, I met volunteers from St John Ambulance-Ghana and heard about the brilliant work they do across Ghana. I was made very welcome by the Mothers’ Union. They told me of their ministry supporting families, women and communities across the Diocese of Accra and Ghana. I encouraged them to stay rooted in Christ. In our final visit of the day, I met with the Anglican Young People Association, which supports youth across the Church of Ghana. Read more about my day here archbishopofcanterbury.org/n…

Last week, at ACC-19, members heard how the Anglican Communion Science Commission is helping churches engage confidently with science and technology. Professor Andrew Briggs described science as ‘a God-given resource’ that can inspire ‘awe and wonder, praise and worship’, encouraging churches to see scientific discovery as something that can deepen faith rather than diminish it. The presentation explored the relationship between faith and science, including artificial intelligence, climate change, healthcare, local and Indigenous knowledge, and new opportunities for young Anglicans working in science. The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd and Rt Hon Dame Sarah Mullally, gave the sermon for the 19th meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council, at St Anne's Cathedral, Belfast on July 4. The Sermon was on Amos 9:11-15 and Matthew 9:14-17. During the sermon, Archbishop Sarah said: "Being with you this week has reminded me that what unites us is greater than what divides us. As Christians, as a Communion, we are a family who love God and earnestly seeks to follow our Lord Jesus Christ. "This week, we have treated one another with respect and with dignity. We have spoken openly and honestly and we have acknowledged each other’s pain. Maybe this is the enduring fruit of this week - may it be a gift of grace and blessing to the whole church. In this way, we proclaim with confidence the hope we have found in Jesus Christ, as we become the body of Christ."
