Let’s be clear about how this “affordability” crisis began. In 2020 we shut down the private sector for COVID and increased the size of govt by 47% from FY 2019-2020…the biggest jump ever. It was supposed to be temporary. But instead of getting spending back to normal, Pres Biden created new spending programs totaling $4.7 trillion over 10 years. Inflation boomed and then interest rates, and there’s your affordability crisis. Pres Trump increased private growth with tax and regulatory cuts, which cut the rate of inflation and increased investments by $11 trillion. But our deficit spending is still massive. And if Dems win, they’re only going to INCREASE govt by $trillions more, while cutting private growth with tax and regulatory increases. And with slower growth, we’ll have lower tax revenues, meaning even worse deficits. Affordability crises will turn into major bankruptcies, which will turn into major job losses, and we may be looking at another economic depression. Fasten your seat belts. The next few months will shape our history for decades.
