‼️URGENT Dear American Partners, I would like to draw your attention to a deeply disturbing video circulating from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Fils Mukoko, a senior official of the ruling UDPS party and Deputy Director General of Kinshasa’s Sanitation Authority, is shown making alarming statements about distributing weapons in churches, universities, and football stadiums. He also warns that Western nationals will have difficulty leaving Kinshasa and calls for a massive demonstration outside the Belgian Embassy. These statements raise serious concerns about the security of American citizens, Western nationals, diplomatic missions, civilians in the DRC and also Congolese people. I call on the U.S Ambassy, the U.S. State Department, the African union, SADC, Monusco , the European Union, and the international community to take these public statements seriously and demand accountability. No political affiliation or public office should place anyone above the law.
