🏃 Hear from Mick Hall, who suffered from a stroke, but thanks to the team at UHNM he was able to recover and help organise the Stone 5, a 5 mile road race. With hundreds of participants, including our very own Dr. Indira Natarajan, it was a great evening raising money for UHNM.

High blood pressure is the biggest single risk factor for stroke, yet you could be one of millions living with it without knowing. If you're aged 40+ you can find a local pharmacy offering free blood pressure checks without needing to book: bit.ly/4ccE2TY

A new project at UHNM is helping to reduce hospital readmissions in heart attack, stroke and vascular patients. The Lipid Optimisation Project identifies existing high-risk patients and works with them to improve their cholesterol levels ➡️ bit.ly/49GFBaz

1:4 Strokes are caused by AF. AF strokes are disabling and mortality is very high.  Lets get all health care professionals coming into contact with patients checking their pulses manually. This could save some one's life from a catastrophic stroke
