My honeymoon with Go ended abruptly. After wrestling 14h with compiler/linker flags, I gave up and deployed a dynamically linked web app. No idea how to get a static build with mattn/go-sqlite3 and the ICU extension.
Back to building Besserliste. The deadline of the next shopping trip passed by weeks ago. I had too much other stuff to do. Mainly riding #Festive500 (kurbelfutter.at/ausfahrten/f…) and getting married.
While playing around with the new functionality, I discovered two things. An error message informs you of a duplicate product name. Not user-friendly to let the human fix the mistake. The computer can do the appropriate thing.

Day 2 starts with a drawing of the different screens and the affordances connecting them. This also brings to light what queries we are going to need.
Last act of the day is adding migrations, sessions and implementing the user selection. The app will sit secure behind NGINX so there is no need to implement complete user management.
